Many residents of a Dallas neighborhood were woken early Sunday morning by a knock on their doors from city officials handing out Ebola information pamphlets and informing them that someone who lives nearby had tested positive for Ebola.
"It's one thing to be in Dallas but for it to be next door, its like really close to home," the unidentified patient's next door neighbor, Chelsea Esposito, told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital announced Sunday that a health care workers who treated Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan had tested positive for the disease. The Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta is working to confirm the test, which, if positive, would be the first known case of Ebola being transmitted in the U.S. Duncan died Wednesday.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said at a news conference early Sunday that a Dallas Fire and Rescue Hazmat Team decontaminated any open areas of the apartment complex where the patient lived on the 3700 block of Marquita Avenue in Dallas and the patient's car. Rawlings said police were stationed nearby to make sure no one enters the complex.
The health care worker was in close contact with only one person while she was symptomatic, and that person has been placed in isolation, said Dr. Daniel Varga of Texas Health Resources.

Are property values holding?
Oh, Ebola’s united Americans alright. Even illegal immigrants are against amnesty now.
Not for the reconstructions of Central Africa, The Slums of New Delhi, and the Low Side of Mexico City and Central America.
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Are they stopping people from leaving the complex?
“Here is a flier on ebola. We don’t think the flier itself is contaminated but we’re not sure. Have a nice day.”
The “complex” needs to be burn down.
burnt
I wonder if the parents of the elementary school children, which is a block away from the apartment complex, will be be united with Obama?
Frieden says on the video, “We know how Ebola spreads.” Really? Then why did they put on their website that they didn’t (see my tagline)? Huh, explain that one, Frieden. Oh, wait, you’ve been cya frantically changing the site all last week.
This will be an issue that UNTIES Americans!
Ok, so she had sex with her live-in bf who is also in isolation (where's the dog?). How about who she was in contact with the hour before she took her temp and noticed it was high? Was she shopping at Walmart for a nice warm brown blanket? Did she just come back from the State Fair? How many patients did she see on Thursday? How many peaches did she squeeze and sniff at the grocery store?
very scary
