Bloomberg: The despot who bans guns, soda, food then promotes the hell out of bicycling in Manhattan around speeding taxis and multi-ton trucks which not surprisingly regularly gets people killed.
There are these memorials called “ghost bikes” that people set up whenever someone is killed on a bike. They are ALL OVER the city. That is Bloombergs true legacy.

Gun control was first instituted in the United States by Democrats in the South, in order to ensure that the KKK (the social organization of the Democrat party) would not have to worry about freed slaves shooting back.
Democrats continue to push gun control for pretty much the same reason. An unarmed population is a docile one.

***requiring a background check for both, thus ending private sales.***
Now how does that work in the real world? You are in a hunting party and one member has a nice gun you like, he likes your gun. You trade or sell it to him on the spot. Who is going to take the time to go to some gun store and pay extra to make it “legal”? It IS your private property you are selling!

***It would, therefore, require the creation of a database of handgun owners (i.e., registration).***
And THIS has been the liberal wet dream since 1962!

If the 2nd amendment means gun ownership is a right, how is requiring background checks and ID consistent with recent court rulings regarding voting rights? Just yesterday, courts ruled that ID is an infringement on the right to vote and is impermissible. How is it not so when dealing with guns. The radicals have also decided that healthcare is a right, yet your doctor requires photo ID when they deliver care. How is that not infringing on the new "right?"
Apparently, anything that interferes with the left's obsessive propagation of election fraud is to be stopped, while all other rights are to be subjugated to the whims of radical jurists.

Yo, Bloomie. How many armed guards do you have around you at all times? Hypocrite.
BTW, cool move getting your soda banning, trans-fat banning, smoke banning, et. al. favorite doctor into the directorship of the CDC where he says not letting sick people into the US is a bad idea.
