It came without warning.
It would start with a howling noise from a senior football player at Sayreville War Memorial High School, and then the locker room lights were abruptly shut off.
In the darkness, a freshman football player would be pinned to the locker room floor, his arms and feet held down by multiple upperclassmen. Then, the victim would be lifted to his feet while a finger was forced into his rectum. Sometimes, the same finger was then shoved into the freshman players mouth.
This disturbing hazing within the storied Sayreville football program, as told to NJ Advance Media on Wednesday by the parent of a player in the program, happened almost every day in the locker room this fall, he said.
The allegations revealed for the first time provide details to the events that sparked a criminal investigation by local and county police, and prompted the cancellation of the remainder of the Sayreville football season this week by Superintendent of Schools Richard Labbe.
The parent, informed by his son and other parents close to the investigation, is the first to come forward to reveal the hazing practices Labbe has characterized as incidences of harassment, intimidation and bullying as constituted by the definition within the anti-bullying statute that took place on a pervasive level, on a wide-scale level, and at a level in which the players knew, tolerated, and in general accepted.
According to the parent, whose identity is being protected because the parent feared retribution against the family and the player, the routine was initiated when an upperclassman would enter the locker room and make a wolf call or howling noise.

I think this coach could be the ring leader
Sounds like some sort of democRAT convention ritual.
“provide details to the events that sparked a criminal investigation by local and county police”
Isn’t this something that is better handled by the coach, the school, and the parents?
Do we really need police time and money spent on this?
Code Red Brown
Coach may be a sadistic homo................
Hazing, that is called forcible sodomy and can get you life in prison. WTF is wrong with these kids?
I’m a Head Football Coach. Trust me when I say, there is NO WAY this Coaching staff didn’t know what was going on. There is no way, the Head Coach didn’t know - and if he didn’t, he should have.
Freshmen don’t get changed outside of locker rooms for no reason. They don’t sprint to the locker rooms for no reason. They don’t shower with underwear on for no reason.
This whole program will come down. Kids and coaches will end up in jail and out of jobs. It’s our own little Penn State.
Some of the allegations publicized are grotesque. It’s not hazing. It’s sexual assault and rape. And there is no excuse for it.
I speak from a position of awareness and knowledge. EVERYONE with access to that team and/or locker room knew what was happening.
The ‘coach’ may be the instigator!...........
What if the coach is encouraging the older players to rape the kids? Since when is rape not a police matter? The Catholic church didn’t handle it very well either.
You don't think sexual assault is a legal matter??
Are you on drugs? Have you read the article? Do you have any idea what is being alleged? These actions are criminal. You sound like the moronic parents in the room essentially saying “boys will be boys”.
That mentality is more f^cking scary than what is alleged.
In THIS particular incident(s) the ‘coach’ may have been the instigator of the whole thing!.......
When I was a kid they’d put some liquid heat (kind’a like Icy Hot) in your jockstrap when you weren’t looking, then watch the “hilarious” results. When my boys played they used to tape kids to immobility with medical tape, and close them in an equipment closet.
But this homosexual assault stuff is beyond the pale.

Read the comment on this page. This person is talking about the same coach and this post was from last year.
I agree, I am a hockey coach.
That worked so well at Penn State doncha know....
Isnt this something that is better handled by the coach, the school, and the parents?
You're referring to this:
In the darkness, a freshman football player would be pinned to the locker room floor, his arms and feet held down by multiple upperclassmen. Then, the victim would be lifted to his feet while a finger was forced into his rectum. Sometimes, the same finger was then shoved into the freshman players mouth.
You're right.
The offended students' fathers should take baseball bats and axe handles, and beat to death the offending students. Then the offended students' fathers should round up the offending students' parents, along with the entire coaching staff ... and hang them by the neck from lamp-posts in front of the school.
Or ... maybe the police and courts should arrest, try, and convict the offenders of rape, and send them to prison.
You choose.
100%
In a situation like this I think you need to look at the coach. I had a physco coach in high school baseball. He beat up 2 players during a game on two different occasions. Right in front of the umpires. Nothing was done to him and what he did to us during practices was worse. As kid you feel helpless and you just adjust and accept your situation. These kids were most likely abused themselves and now they are the abusers.
Plus, the defensive coordinator was arrested two weeks ago for possession of steroids after a routine traffic stop. I guess his defense had a little help in winning those three group titles.
So the coaching staff there in general doesn’t seem too above board.......
Some things I have seen in life.
This obsession that some guys have with other guy’s rectums, you see it in “hazing”, and when prison rape is brought up and you realize that the enthusiasm and pro-male rape banter is almost joyful and enthusiastic.
Along these lines was coming to Southern California and rather than seeing the amusing but rare hairy straight guy dressing in female clothes for Halloween, in S. Cal, you notice that the costume is far too common, to the point that you realize, or at least suspicion, that they look forward to Halloween a little more than adult males should be.
