The newest Ebola scare in the Dallas area involves a Dallas County sheriffs deputy named Michael Monning (or Michael Monnig) who was sent into Thomas Duncans apartment earlier this month:
Report by @NBCDFW that new suspected patient is a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff who served quarantine papers on Thomas Duncan's residence.

Sgt. Monnig says they were assured by health officials that no one inside the apartment was showing symptoms of Ebola and that the danger was remote."
If this is true I am sorry this man is sick.
That said, is he an idiot?
You are sent to a place to post quarantine papers and you don’t take appropriate actions? That is on you. I don;t care who would have ordered me to do so without protective gear. They could KMA..
praying that this case is simply a Flu virus at worst.
Was he one of the two ordered by the judge to accompany him to chaperon Duncan’s girlfriend/mother of his child/??? ?
That was WEDNESDAY, Duncan was in the hospital for what, four days by then ???
Shouldn’t SOMEONE in his family shown symptoms if that’s so, then? To me, that’s what’s odd (of course, assuming this guy we’re talking about today has Ebola not a reaction to a bad burrito).
Years ago I saw a show on the history channel that used DNA studies to come to that conclusion regarding the bubonic plague.
I think it is more of a case where the family could be sick and dying and our government would hide it.
Yeah, this is the ‘remote case’ gov’t keeps saying won’t happen ...
He almost certainly got less exposure than the apartment residents. If they don't have it, then he probably doesn't have it either.
Why did early reports say he answered affirmatively to traveling in West Africa?
Yes. I’ve wondered that too. Perhaps this virus has been around a really long time (before modern WHO and CDC) and Africans have an immunity to it. The ones that have a flawed gene (perhaps) succumb? They have only “studied” it since 1976. Not enough time to know everything, but this would explain why in the populous African Countries with poor sanitation, the virus hasn’t killed millions.
It would have been considerate of the Africans to have stayed put!

Thanks for the documentation.

Did you kiss your Momma wearing that shirt ???
How are they going to hide a sick or dead family member?
That's exactly what they said happened to nurse in Spain today, she likely rubber her glove on her face.
That sounds a lot like Dad's dating advice when I was a teenage lad....
