The second man with Ebola symptoms is reportedly a Dallas County sheriff's deputy who visited the apartment of first patient Thomas Duncan.
The individual, who has not been named, walked into a clinic in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday and told medics he had been in contact with first victim Mr Duncan and had not been wearing protective clothing.
The CareNow clinic was immediately placed in lock-down after the person appeared on Wednesday and was exhibiting signs of the deadly virus.
The CDC told MailOnline today that the person is not one of the 48 contacts being monitored, and there is no indication of any direct contact with the initial patient, Mr Duncan.

He went into that apt., last week. Every day he has been on the road, home, recreation areas or whatever they do for fun.
. Not sure if he went into that apt with that Moronic Judge, but that Judge has now infected how many at the Court House, home, recreations areas. etc.
“The CDC told MailOnline today that the person is not one of the 48 contacts being monitored”
now how in THE WORLD was this guy not on the “to be monitored” list? see this is why no one has any faith in the CDC or really the health care establishment in it’s entirety to prevent this situation from becoming a crisis. now im not saying this is going to be the end of the world. but if it isn’t the start of a pandemic it certainly wont be due to the actions of the CDC. they will have been the benefactors of serendipity, nothing more.
shake my head...
lol
LOL!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
ROTFLMAFAO!!!!!!!!!!!
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
I am losing my mind.
I am paying close attention, but I keep in mind how nervous people can be after stories like this hit the news.
My guess is that anyone who was near Duncan will be urgently calling/heading to the hospital at the first sign of not feeling up to par, and there will be many who are ok.
At least, I pray this will be the case. So, let’s not panic just yet.
This deputy visited the apartment of Duncan but was not on the list of 48 for monitoring. This does not make sense.
"If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times....there is no threat. Put ice on it and move on!"
Elections are not going to save us.
Republicans are not going to save us.
This is for real.
It could be psychosomatic in nature. I’m not downplaying the real risks, but just imagine how you might feel if you were the deputy.
Per CDC, the ROI is 1.87. We shall see.
Kind of simple.
Good thing you moved out to the woods. They let an officer who had physical contact with Duncan unprotected, remain on duty.
There’s so much to “remember in November” my head is spinning.
Until his body is no longer a danger, I would not rest easy. Either buried or burned + 21 days. This thing is too dicey, and they do not know a lot about it.
I think it is way past time to panic.
Isn’t this about what that idiot judge did?
Are the power washer guys on the list? How about the pizza delivery guy?
How about the next door neighbors at the apartments?
This is under control, experts are handling it. /s
Agreed. Let us hope this is just nerves.
Umm, you either have diarrhea or not. Vomiting or not. I’m not sure how that could be psychosomatic. ??
