Doctors Without Borders confirms that one of our organizations Norwegian field workers in Sierra Leone has tested positive and has been diagnosed with bleeding fever ebola, confirms Anne Cecilie Kalteborn in MSFs Norway branch to Norwegian media VG. The Norwegian health worker is tonight being flown with an ambulance flight from the capital Sierra Leone. She will probably land in Norway Monday night or Tuesday night.- We are working to transport our colleague home as soon as possible, says Kaltebotn.
The woman, who has been working for MSF in Sierra Leones second city Bo, has according to VGs sources been feeling increasingly ill during the weekend.
When the symptoms of Ebola, fever and sickness, were felt, she was put in isolation and lab-tests proved she was infected.
- This is a situation we take very seriously, says the Norwegian Foreign Department.
The woman will be flown to Oslos main hospital, Ullevål, were a full team of doctors are ready to receive her.
Bo is a district in Sierra Leone that is badly hit by the epidemic: 227 suspected cases are reported in the area were the Norwegian woman was infected.

People who insist for whatever reason to travel to West Africa or most Muslim countries, are akin to those who have a fervent desire to swim in a river full of hungry crocodiles. They really should not expect lifeguards when they get into trouble.
Common sense never prevails in this post-modern world run by lunatics.
They want to bring them all over here and spread it everywhere. I hope they all burn in hell—every single last one of them who advocates moving these patients abroad!!!!!
Something is going on here...why doesn’t the all powerful King Obama take out his pen and issue an EO stopping all this....
I mean he does it for everything else....
Sorry 'bout that, y'all !
Prayers up. Some of those “Doctors Without Borders” folks are truly saints..
Worse than being bitten by a moose!
I'm not sure common sense prevails in leadership at any level. It's been replaced by "reassure the public". What would make more sense is to take all of the money and resources being expended to thwart Ebola outbreaks outside of the infected zone, and spend them containing the disease there, and moving those who contact the disease to high-quality research and treatment areas there.
What happens if Ebola gets into our sewer systems? Can rats spread it from there? What about preschool and daycare, where young ones share everything? I'm not being alarmist, just analytical. Is anyone even considering issues like this?
No harm. There will be plenty who didn’t see the other one.
I think your concerns about waste disposal are more than valid. If you’ve seen some of the reports from the Dallas invasion (yeah, I mean it), they have no idea how to deal with the contaminated apartment that Duncan lived in. Same thing happened with the waste generated in Emory University with Brantley. One report said so much waste was generated workers were sent to the local Home Depot to buy the largest trash cans and trash bags they could get to store the waste until the hazmat disposal company could come.
I understand flames work pretty well.
To be under the care of socialized-medicine bureaucRATs? How is that going to help?
Gubmint noobs never consider perplexing and analytical valid questions, such as those you just asked.
1918, anyone...?
Seriously d:^(
