This is what the situation in Ferguson -- where authorities seemed determined not to prosecute the cop who shot and killed unarmed black teen Mike Brown in August -- has devolved to. It's necessary for people to start kinda acting like jerks.
The key word in that sentence is "necessary." It has to be done. Call them Jerks for Justice. I'm in!
Let's briefly review the story so far. It's been 57 days since 18-year-old Brown was gunned down on a residential street in the St, Louis suburb, by Police Officer Darren Wilson. There are legitimate unanswered questions about why Brown was stopped and what happened between Brown and Wilson in their encounter. But we do know that Brown had no weapon, that he was fleeing the scene of his encounter, that he was a good distance from Wilson and -- according to multiple witnesses, including a couple of contractors on the scene -- that Brown appeared to have his hands in the air.
Given the known scenario, the only real question should be: What are the level of charges against the officer, Wilson? Instead, the law-enforcement community has offered zero confidence that there will be any charges in this matter. The prosecutor on the case, St. Louis County DA Robert McCullough, is notoriously hostile toward any prosecution of police misconduct. The Ferguson Police Department has shown more enthusiasm for a cover-up than for justice -- lying first about whether reporters had been asking for a video linking Brown to a theft at a convenience store (they hadn't) and also about the distance at which Brown was shot (100 feet, not 35 feet). That's in addition to arresting journalists and peaceful protesters, and charging exorbitant fees for public records...

Every business owner in the area should just pull out and leave these jerks for justice, how about if we just call them racist rioting looting criminals, in the burned out cesspool they have created.
What happens when the Grand Jury returns a ‘No True Bill’?......................
I am guessing tat officer Wilson’s injuries are never aken into account?
I’m so sick of the “unarmed teen” mantra. If a nearly 6’ 4” 300 pound teen (black, white, or any color in between) was bull rushing me and I had the good luck to have a weapon in hand I’d pull that trigger till the magazine was empty. And so would anyone with half an ounce of brains and a normal amount of adrenaline.
Right. However, that does not invalidate (all) the points he makes.
What we have here is two tribes/gangs. One is convinced the cop murdered an unarmed man with his hands in the air simply because he hates black people, the other is convinced the cop shot a very large charging man who had previously attacked and injured him seriously trying to take his gun away.
Both are more than willing to lie in the service of what they see as a higher good, protecting their tribe/gang.
There is only one possible way to bypass this conflict, and it is by no means guaranteed to work.
Put an honest man/woman respected by both sides in charge of a completely open and transparent investigation to determine what actually happened, to the extent it is possible to make this determination. Make it publicly known in advance that any attempt to cover up for “your side” under oath will be prosecuted to the maximum the law allows.
Then let the chips fall where they may. Most probable result, both tribes pissed off.
And yet he had bullet wounds in his right front torso, right bicep, face and the crown of his head. How...... odd.
The store that was torched and looted... did it belong to an ISIS sympathizer?
Yep, keep it alive to get the lazy LIVs out in November
In the end, it makes no difference. A white shot a black. Had the situation been reversed it would have been just another police blotter entry. Is racism involved here? Yes. Against all whites, all the time, and sure to escalate until the country is in a continuous urban warfare, whites attempting to avoid and defend themselves against black rampages, blacks attempting to loot and murder, Obama to cheer it on, and the police to continue circling the wagons until we are all under gubmint control.
Stick a fork in her, America is done.
Well, ain’t that sweet! Unfortunately, the black tribe won’t be happy with any outcome short of death for the cop. You seem to start from the supposition that there is some rationality in this tribe. You are wrong.
Vanity?
The cop - Wilson - was even willing to take massive damage before killing the strong arm thief...
“Put an honest man/woman respected by both sides in charge of a completely open and transparent investigation to determine what actually happened, to the extent it is possible to make this determination.”
They already did that, the elected prosecuting attorney.
You forgot the third tribe - those that judge the situation to the best of their ability based on the actual evidence they have access to.
Of course the town of Ferguson wants to protect their local hero, it is a whole town of thugs. They assume they are entitled to protection no matter what criminal acts they perform. And , it is not confined to Ferguson. It is happening all over the country.
You think the cops are any more rational in their defense of a “brother cop?”
Sure. He was fleeing the scene. Running backwards. LOL
Nope. At least the writer of the article is proceeding on the assumption that the prosecutor is not unbiased. I have no idea whether that is true or not, but it doesn’t really matter. See my tagline.
What would work is to appoint a special prosecutor who all sides are willing, however grudgingly, to accept as unbiased.
If he doesn’t provide the results the black tribe wants, they will immediately denounce him as racist. But the accusation will be seriously damaged by their previous acceptance of him.
What I don’t see is why any intelligent person would accept the special prosecutor position. If he does his duty as sworn, and the results aren’t to the liking of the Left, he will be trashed. Very little upside for him unless he throws the cop under the bus. (Which might be the right thing to do, BTW.)
“Nope. At least the writer of the article is proceeding on the assumption that the prosecutor is not unbiased.”
Who cares what the writer of this crap thinks? The prosecutor was elected by the citizens of Ferguson, the majority of which are black.
