WINNING OR WHINING WITH THE TEA PARTY IN 2014? (Rebuttal to Tea Party Hit piece)
American Spectator ^ | 10-04-14 | Keli Carender

Posted on 10/05/2014 8:32:15 PM PDT by INVAR

David Catron took to these pages Monday to excoriate conservatives and tea partiers for GOP losses in November, you know, the November that is still over a month away. Why would he do this? Well, after using every dirty trick in the book to make sure the establishment candidates won their primaries this year, those much-vaunted incumbents aren’t faring as well against their Democrat opponents as we were all promised. So naturally, establishment hacks and their BFF’s are dabbling in a little battlefield preparation...

(snip)

...When Mitch McConnell says that he wants to “punch” tea partiers “in the nose,” he is to blame if those same people don’t turn out to vote for him. Rule #1 in politics, I’m pretty sure, is do not threaten to punch your voters in the face.

To turn it around and put the onus on the voters is to completely distort the entire premise of our Republic. This is a message to the GOP and to GOP apologists like you, David Catron. If you want to win, you must first respect your voters, and you must earn our votes. To earn our votes, you must provide us with a true alternative to the Democrat in the race. If you want to run as Democrat-Lite, then you must live with the consequences. David Catron, you wanna reference Reagan? How about this one: “Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?”…

Good slam on the GOP Party hack that has already blamed Conservatives for any loss in November.

Cantron replies to the rebuttal, and it's just the same kind of sickening stupidity and attempts at shaming that we read from the Ruling Class party hacks here.

I am tried of tea party vs GOPe. I am really tired of reading about it.

My primary concern right now is taking power from barack hussein Obama. We need to take the senate out of his hands or the next two years could be disastrous for the USA. Yeah, I would rather control of the senate be in the hands of a bunch of do nothing republicans than an evil SOB like barack Obama. Seems they would have enough in common to boot out democrats.

Conservatives and GOPe are fighting each other so much we’re going to lose the war.

The tea party can blame themselves if they thought they could trust the republican party. I don’t like the GOPe but I absolutely despise democrats.

DAVID CATRON's Reply: Carender has apparently failed to grasp that an important element of the Democrat strategy this year is to divide and conquer.

You are projecting what you and your Ruling Class GOP leadership itself has done in terms of attempting to divide and conquer their own base. What you turds did in MS is UNFORGIVABLE.

The President’s party is headed for an electoral debacle unless they can trick some conservatives and tea partiers into sitting home or voting for Democrat ringers this November simply because their candidates failed to win some primary bid.

The President has NOTHING to do with tricking any Conservative into voting their conscience instead of voting your Establishment picks shoved down our throats. It is YOU guys and YOUR derision, intimidation, castigation and endless threats and name calling like the stupid hit piece you wrote on Monday that has convinced us to abandon your party to it's own consequences. You deserve to lose.

The smart move for these conservatives would be to send a message to the Democrats that their courthouse skullduggery is not enough to fool them into electing a Democrat shill like Orman.

WRONG. The smart move is for Conservatives to send a message to your party and your leadership that their wife-beater, Democrat-esque sabotage and betrayal of Conservatives will be remembered and all your attempts to shame and intimidate us into electing yet another RINO Democrat-lite stooge will finally come to an end.

Carender, in a sublime case of unintentional irony, unwittingly supports my point when she cites Republican Rep. Mike Castle’s refusal to support Christine O’Donnell in the 2010 general election (for Joe Biden’s vacant Senate seat) after she unexpectedly beat him in the Delaware primary. “We’ll never know for sure, but had Mike Castle supported Christine O’Donnell, vouched for her across the state, and encouraged voters to give their support to her, it is very likely that the GOP would have picked up that seat in 2010.”

That is the most inane attempt at suggesting Irony when Carender was noting the fact that when the chosen Establishment stooge LOST a primary, the GOP Ruling Class abandoned them and actively supported the Democrat. Carender does NOT support your point, she eviscerates the very idea as the hypocritical pap it is.

Yet Carender supports the effort of Mississippi State Senator Chris McDaniel to torpedo an incumbent who unexpectedly beat him in their state’s GOP primary. Indeed, McDaniel is not merely refusing to endorse Thad Cochran, he is actually suing him.

And AMEN. I hope to God that your party's voter fraud and despicable actions are punished beyond your Establishment Cronies the ability to recover…EVER.

Carender suggests this is justified by what she describes as Cochran’s “vile, disgusting, corrupt, race-based, left-wing attack” on McDaniel. She claims to understand that “politics is messy,” but supports sore loser tactics that far exceed the sins of Mike Castle.

Oh Puhleeeze! "far exceed"?? Your party leadership SHAT down our throats and engaged in sabotage and smear and demonization of their entire base and adopted the same exact race-baiting corruption the Democrats do, JUST to defeat a Conservative.

if the Democrats get out and vote while Carender and her friends sit home and sulk, the blame for the inevitable Democrat corruption and bad policies rests squarely on the shoulders of these abstaining voters. NO DIFFERENT THAN DEMOCRATS.

All mature voters understand that a trip to the polls usually means one will have to pull the lever for the least worst candidate.

Been doing that for over two decades pal. We are in this mess PRECISELY because we betrayed our principles to vote for the 'least worst candidate'. No more.

If you are foolish enough to allow the perfect to be the enemy of the good, you lose.

We are told by Our Lord and Savior to 'Be Perfect' - because in so doing, we WIN. Only a demon and devil tells us that striving for perfection is an enemy of what is "good".

“There is no substitute for victory.” You can whine or you can win. Those are your choices.

If our choice is between a MarxoFascist democrat and a Ruling Class GOP Liberal, there is no winning, only losing.

We are better off to write in a Conservative or vote third party for a true Conservative than be forcibly limited to only the choice the Central Planners present to us as "your only options".

Go and pander for the votes you need from Mexicans and the great "moderate" Democrats out there. That is whom you party seeks to replace Conservatives with anyway.

Even now the Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.

And then there’s John McCain saying what will happen if the Republicans win the Senate: “I will work very hard to go back to 60 votes,” said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who boldly predicts a Republican Senate would process Obama’s nominees “more rapidly than [Democrats] do today.”

And as for the House: John Boehner: ‘Very Few’ Republicans Will Oppose Me

So tell me again how much better off we'll be voting for the RINOs.

It’s a fine article, thanks for posting, even if it does annoy a handful of liberal freepers.

Can you point to a single piece of information that will make me believe a Republican Congress will be anything more than a place holder while the Democrats serve penance for pushing hard left too fast? The bottom line is, the Republicans aren’t going to change a single thing. They have already said they won’t do anything about spending, and will honor that ridiculous budget Ryan came up with. McConnell is running as fast as he can away from expectations, and that idiot Boehner is speechless unless he is railing about amnesty. The Democrats are going to push this country over the brink, and waiting two years to do it won’t dampen their resolve. Sorry, if you want to vote like an inner city minority, that is your business, but I am tired of doing my part for losers that don’t stand for anything.

If the republicans control the senate and do nothing for the next two years, that’s a hell of a lot better than what Obama will do with control of the senate. That should be pretty easy to understand.

Sorry, if you want to vote like an inner city minority, that is your business, ....

Clearly, you don’t know what you’re talking about. I will proudly be voting for Jeff Sessions and some other good conservative republicans in my state.

Just like he thanked me for my support in 2008 when I dutifully voted for President McCain, and 2012 when I dutifully voted for President Romney.

Don't blame me for the losses this time, pal. I'll bet you'll be saying the same thing in 2016 when Jeb Bush loses to Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren.

Even now the Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.

So, just what is Obama going to do with the Senate that I should be so terrified of? And while we’re at it, I thought the Senate Majority leader ran the Senate. The Republicans have shown, they don’t have the fortitude to stand up to Obama. The only difference coming from a Republican Senate will be the way they manipulate the votes so Ayotte, Heller, Rubio, and slew of other rinos will be able to point to their votes and claim to be conservative when they run for reelection. With his approval ratings in the tank, and a conservative caucus in the house, Obama isn’t going to do much for the rest of his term.

I think it is great you can actually go to the polls and enthusiastically support a candidate, I really wish I could. But stop telling the rest of us to vote for the letter behind the name like we aren’t smart enough to determine how to vote.

Would we have Obamacare if republicans had control of the senate at the time it passed? Yes or no?

I feel pretty safe saying no. But, with a Republican Senate, I think there will be a push to get amnesty. Which will do the longest lasting damage to our country?

I’ll say ‘yes’ given the GOP’s refusal to DEFUND it and instead play procedural gimmicks they know will go nowhere.

The Ruling Class GOP is no different than the Democrats, and they like ObamaCare as much as Obama’s party does.

The GOP had control from 2002-2006 of all three branches. Nothing changed. The GOPe is embarrassed by Conservatives. They let Reagan slip by once. They’ll never let that happen again. Peeing on your base is such an effective strategy. /sarc

Not to mention the most obvious. Had the Republicans controlled the house, we would not have Obama care.

Will the GOP end obamacare
Will they balance the budget
Will they close the border
Will they end spying on us by the NSA
Will they stop persecution of conservatives by the IRS
Will they stop the spa from go after the citizens for bogus global warming

The answer is no. The GOP has lost its way. They want power the same as he dems and are willing to attack any one including their own party supporters.

I will gladly suffer two more years under the dems to bring about a party that is for the people of he united states.

So odumby can thank me for my voe as you say and the GOP can kiss my behind.

And you may be right. But it may not be 100% of what Obama wants — which is to destroy this nation.

We’ve got a different situation with Obama. He’s evil that I don’t want unchecked. I believe he hates the people and the values that made this nation great.

And if we can keep a few more of his judges off the bench, it would be worth it.

The best I believe we could hope for over his last two years is gridlock.

I held my nose voting for John McCain and Mitt Romney. But I didn’t consider myself really voting for either of them. I was voting against Obama.

You might as well piss into the wind with boycott and the “Republicans at all cost” crowd. They think winning is throwing away all principles. They even argue if you don’t buy into their BS you want them to fail and a third party is stupid.

They are so stupid they can’t remember the Republican party WAS a third party when the abolistionist contitutionalist left the Whigs and in 6 years elected Lincoln. Today Rove and McConnell and Boehner would call him an extremist.

Then half of so-called FReepers will call us “purist”. F them.
