Would we have Obamacare if republicans had control of the senate at the time it passed? Yes or no?
I feel pretty safe saying no. But, with a Republican Senate, I think there will be a push to get amnesty. Which will do the longest lasting damage to our country?
I’ll say ‘yes’ given the GOP’s refusal to DEFUND it and instead play procedural gimmicks they know will go nowhere.

The GOP had control from 2002-2006 of all three branches. Nothing changed. The GOPe is embarrassed by Conservatives. They let Reagan slip by once. They’ll never let that happen again. Peeing on your base is such an effective strategy. /sarc
The answer is no. The GOP has lost its way. They want power the same as he dems and are willing to attack any one including their own party supporters.
