Thomas A. Duncan, who became ill with Ebola after arriving from West Africa in Dallas two weeks ago, succumbed to the virus today (Sunday), reports Reuters. Duncan was fighting for his life at a Dallas hospital on today after his condition worsened to critical, according to the director of the US Centers for Disease Control.
The Dallas hospital that admitted him did not recognize the deadly disease at first and sent him home, only for him to return two days later by ambulance.

Yeah the GOP and even the more conservative “leaders” aren’t demanding heads to roll for the lying and allowing Americans to die by bringing in an epidemic.
Just think, it might save the country from Social Security and Medicare to boot! Maybe that's why their cost forecasts were so low?
I’m wondering about another factor at work here.
I wasn’t aware that 20% of Liberians are Muslim. There’s an article from the Washington Post linked on Drudge about an interview with the ebola patient’s stepdaughter. According to the article she was covering her head with a scarf. Indoors. In her own house. Who wears a scarf indoors?
Who covers her face indoors? Someone in a house full of Ebola germs! They are not Muslim.
Obama. This is an opportunity to take revenge on white America for not having saved these poor third whirleders. Meanwhile, he can wield emergency powers with which to reshape the entire country, dispossess property, swipe children, put people in camps, confiscate weapons, ration food and medical care with a preference for the supposedly downtrodden... the whole bit.
What's not to like?

A Liberian doctor is 13 for 15 using lamivudine, which is normally used to treat HIV and hepatitis-B. The two losses received the drug later in their illness than the survivors.
Lamivudine is old enough that it is off patent.

I agree, the real scare here is our incompetent Government.

“Just wow....thank you for the post! Still...*shudder*”
Those are scary numbers. I have to wonder how they did the survey, if they used a test that would have been less understood in a native culture and thereby influence the results. I’m hoping that somehow these numbers are flawed!
Gets even worse when they die, you’ll have to burn everything they touched, seal the area, burn bedding, sterilize everything, burn the body.
Handling the body properly will be important.
Youre Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
Hey, wait a minute. I thought we were so superior to Africa that no one was going to die from Ebola.
I hope this news gets wide play in West Africa, so people there know that getting to the United States is not a miracle cure. THomas Duncan got here, and he still died.
Just read that is "girlfriend" is 54....and he is 30??? And they have a son together? Something isn't right here.
No, he's alive. Critical condition but alive.
