There’s a James Buchanan High School in Mercersberg, Pennsylvania. Buchanan County in Iowa is also named after this failed presidency.
My point is every president gets something named after him, and Obama will get a few such monuments. It would be foolish for conservatives to argue unless it’s something really inappropriate. A beach in Hawaii that he liked to play on seems fitting. They let us have Reagan National Airport. They can have their beach.

I’m married to the Pacific Ocean at that Beach.
First time I lived in Hawaii for over a year, I stopped at Sandy Beach, ran out into the surf, forgot to take off my Marriage band, and when I returned, discovered it missing.
Don’t make it a Gay Beach.
