DALLAS Health officials on Friday narrowed down to 10 the number of people considered most at risk of contracting Ebola after coming into contact with an infected Liberian man. They also moved the four people who had shared an apartment with the man from their potentially contaminated quarters, as local and federal officials tried to assure the public that the disease was contained despite initial missteps here.
The four people, a girlfriend of Thomas E. Duncan, the Liberian who is the first person in the United States to develop symptoms of Ebola, and three of her relatives had been under orders not to leave their home, and Texas officials apologized to them for not moving faster to have the apartment cleaned of potentially infectious materials.

Wait. What? I thought the Dallas health department said nobody was at risk.
What about the hundreds of “lesser risk” folks that this individual came into contact with?
So if one person has it where you live, we don’t let them leave.
But if thousands have it where you live, we welcome them in by the planeload.
Brilliant.
So, are the 4 people part of the 10?
No they are not. This is in addition.
And what about the clean up crew who used a power washer on the road/walkway to ‘clean’ the Ebola laced vomit, without donning any protective gear? The aerosolized mist was disbursed widely onto the car and building as well as absorbed by the hair and skin and clothing of the fella with the power washer.
And then there is the ambulance crew. The next patients riding in that ambulance. The hospitals waiting areas and any folks who had the great misfortune of sharing the space with this volatile disease. The children who were in the same classroom with the 13 year old who defied the court ordered quarantine and attended class as late as Wednesday.
Louise is Duncan’s girlfriend and mother to his 13 yr. old son, was permitted to shop at a local Walmart after Duncan was diagnosed and hospitalized.
Ten contacts? The next two weeks are going to be a hell of a roller coaster for countless families.
it’s sounds like someone with half a brain finally took over from Obama!

Maybe we should quarantine all of Dallas.
Never did like Dallas much, anyway.

Yeah, especially for families harboring hypochondriacs with overactive imaginations.
The enemedia keep saying obamabola is hard to contract, bodily fluids only, bla bla. Then they say if you touch an object contaminated by fluids you can contract it.
So it’s difficult to get, unless you touch a door knob, seat tray release lever, or in flight magazine cover. Oh I see, very difficult to catch/S
I hate the catch word CONTRACT.
I’m not concerned, after all Obama has assured the American people that he has it under control. /s
The case tipping point for the vector that was discussed the other night was 12.
I think what they’re trying to say is: “We hope we get lucky on this one”.
Being at the “greatest risk” is different than those who are only “at great risk”. More commie lib thinking.
Or rides a subway or city bus. The possibilities for disaster are limitless.
I believe the NYT as much as I believe obama.
The only minor blessings of Thursday’s major hail storm - many Dallas and Dallas-suburbs closed due to power outages.
Less risk of kids spreading disease when they’re all at home.
