When you spend your life sodomizing the people, don’t be surprised when they return the favor to your dead body (a la Gaddafi).

Just had a horrific thought...what if Ebola broke out in N. Korea? Could there possibly be a better example of hell on earth? And most here would have a good idea of how the “treatment regimen” would proceed....Can anyone spell SKS?

Another possibility is that he is not one of those individuals who can embrace his hedonistic lifestyle without getting severe and acute effects. He might be having any number of serious problems such as diabetes, gout (allegedly), atherosclerosis and other vascular, cardiac and pulmonary disease, and you name it.

Recent pictures of him look like he has suddenly become obese, but if that is from edema, his liver might be shot.

When I saw the North Korean news coverage actually showing Kim Jung Un stumbling along and grimacing, my first thought was that it was strange that they allowed him to be shown in such a condition. Then I guessed gout (which several foreign media have since reported). But still, why did they allow this to be shown publicly? Perhaps it was because no one felt secure enough to point it out without seeming to show lack of respect for the leader.

Then there was another possibility: could Kim have been poisoned? I still think that this is a possibility which should not be eliminated from consideration.

Then there are several suspects. Of course, he had killed his aunt’s husband, who was a loyal aide for both his father and grandfather. That meant a whole organization of privileged functionaries would have a motive.

Another is that foreign agents engineered this. I think that the prime suspects would be the DPRK’s “friends”: China or Russia. Either one would prefer a regime in Pyongyang which would be more predictable and cooperative. The Chinese are the long-time supporters of the DPRK, but have shown disgust and impatience recently. The Russians have been lavishing aide on the DPRK regime, and would like to get back to their old position of influence there, and outflank China. They are historically great masters at the use of poison for political murders.

China probably really does not want another, rival nuclear power in Asia. They perhaps know that progress is being made by the Pyongyang regime, slowly but surely, toward the really dangerous situation of a nuclear-armed DPRK. Unlike the USA, which is just sitting and waiting for Iran to get the bomb, China will act. Maybe they already have!
