Texas Ebola patient’s partner and 3 family members quarantined
CNN ^ | October 2, 2014

(CNN) — The partner of Ebola patient Thomas Duncan is quarantined in her Dallas apartment where Duncan became sick with the virus after his trip to Liberia, the woman told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

The woman, who asked to be identified only by her first name, Louise, is quarantined with one of her children under 13 and two nephews in their 20s because they were in apartment when Duncan became ill, Cooper said.

Duncan, a 42-year-old Liberian citizen, is now hospitalized in Dallas.

But Louise remains in her apartment, and she’s worried, not knowing what to do and waiting on federal health officials, Cooper said.

“She doesn’t know how she’s going to get food into the apartment. She was told she said maybe the Red Cross would come by. She’s still waiting for that,” Cooper said.

“Some health officials brought sandwiches last night, but she hasn’t had anything today,” Cooper said Thursday. “She’s certainly kind of at loose ends and is obviously extremely worried.”

Cooper’s interview with Louise will air Thursday evening on CNN’s “AC360˚.”

This certainly bodes well.... not

Now, imagine if they quarantine an entire city. Are they going to let the people starve?

First they have to figure out many voted for Obama.

Cluster blank. But she has plenty of time to enroll in Obamacare.

FWIW, I got caught up in an in-hospital quarantine during the Swine Flu epidemic. I didn't have Swine Flu. The cleanliness conditions were horrific, because no one on the staff wanted to come into contact with possible contagious people. Because I was hooked up to tubes, I couldn't clean my space and myself. The hospital got to decide when I could get out of the quarantine ward, and it wasn't immediately after it was determined I had a combination of long-standing mild pneumonia and normal flu. They milked the insurance company for every cent they could. These horrific experiences like mine during the swine flu epidemic might well be why most quarantines will be at home.

I'd assume that some professional environments and some local responders will be very professional and competent at handling epidemics. I would assume most people have at least a month of food and cleaning/hygiene supplies stocked up. But it won't be perfect.

Liberian authorities said Duncan lied on the questionnaire he filled out when he left the country, answering he had not been exposed to Ebola, when he was massively exposed when he handed carried a dying infected woman home 4 days earlier.

You know, we are assuming people will tell the truth on such questionnaires.

My dad had various sayings, us being from the south and all.

He had bird dogs and everyone knows you have to treat dogs for heartworms. He would say the parasite will eventually kill the host if you don’t kill it first.

Another one he had was “there is only one way to kill an egg sucking dog, a .22 rifle.” He was definitely one of them ole timer’s.

You assume wrong. Most people might have food for a few days to a week.

human beings learn from one another — that is true even in Africa.

The welfare bum uncle of the president lives in America illegally.

The welfare bum aunt of the president lives in America illegally.

WHY wouldn’t these people also come to America, inspired so prominently be the President’s very own family...?

ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

Excuse me, but I was in a 3 week US government lock-down situation. There were a few hundred women and children stuck in isolation and they did not bring us FOOD. After just a few days, the little shoppette and our pantries were empty. Suddenly, baby formula and cleaning supplies became and emergency and it happened shockingly fast.

I was the one that called the post commander and explained the situation to him. He was horrified and actually said the words, “Oh! We didn’t think of that!”

Within hours, semi-trucks were showing up loaded with provisions.

So, yes. It is freaking IMPORTANT. And it’ll be even MORE important if it’s a mass quarantine situation because people will become desperate and break quarantine fast if they have no certainty that help is coming. To keep the peace, you keep the population fed and reassured.

pResident Obola failures on the Ebola epidemic.

One: failure to restrict travel by US citizens to Ebola infected countries.

Two: Failure to control or quarantine incoming travelers from Ebola infected African countries.

Three: Lulling the American people by saying Ebola in the US is highly unlikely.

MEMO TO Residernt Obola: Resign now while Americans will still give you a pension.

Don’t forget, she got locked down on payday. Most American’s cupboards and refrigerators are empty on that day. (Not just the ‘poor’)

Urban people in particular seldom have food for more than a day or two. You try hauling a month’s worth of groceries home on the bus.

I use a wagon behind the law tractor to bring my groceries in from the truck so I don’t have to make a half dozen trips.

I heard on the way from work that the typhoid Marty lied about exposure to Ebola when he left Liberia and is liable for prosecution over that.

His significant other is more worried about food than deadly contagion, his family doesn’t seem to know whether they are afoot or on horseback, and the whole place where he was staying sounds like it needs to be burned to the ground by the local health department because it is totally contaminated-wouldn’t you just love to live there?

Can anyone tell me how people remain this stupid and no one notices?

We’re getting our one month supplies (for four people) on Friday, along with our regular groceries. (Ashamed to say that I do not have it now)

So, you’ve seen how grossly incompetent bureaucracies really are when a monkey wrench is tossed in the gears, too. The lack of basic common sense is appalling.
