California P.U. See ^

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 6:15 PM, California Public Utilities Commission wrote:

A Message from the California Public Utilities Commission Look for a Climate Credit from the State of California on Your October Utility Bill This month your electricity bill will include a credit identified as the "California Climate Credit." Twice a year, in April and October,* your household and millions of others throughout the state will receive this credit on your electricity bills. The Climate Credit is a payment to Californians from a program designed to fight climate change by limiting the amount of greenhouse gas pollution that our largest industries put into the atmosphere. This program is one of many developed as a result of landmark legislation called the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, which puts California at the forefront of efforts to battle climate change. The Climate Credit is designed to help you join with California in its efforts to clean the air and fight climate change, one of the greatest challenges facing society. Find out how you can play a part at www.EnergyUpgradeCA.org/credit.

*Billing periods vary by utility, so if you don't see a Climate Credit in your bill that arrives in October it will appear in November.

I read those things until my eyes start to cross. They I go to the window, look outside at God's wonderful world, take a breath, say a prayer and MOVE ON to the next thing.

Ya know, this planet is five billion years old. We really know relatively LITTLE on our climate. So, whatever they do say, I take with a grain of salt.

Why don’t you just regularize the bills instead of making it look like a sales hook and depress competition???

of course, on the other hand

California drivers brace for costly new gas tax

Californians already pay the nation's second highest gas tax at 68 cents a gallon -- and now it will go up again in January to pay for a first-in-the-nation climate change law.

Estimates of the cost of the tax vary. The California Air Resources Board, the Golden State's premier anti-pollution agency, predicts the new tax will raise gasoline prices from 20 cents to $1.30 per gallon. A prominent state senator who helped author the bill estimated the cost at 40 cents a gallon. Environmental activists downplay the cost, but hail the impact.

the “Eco-friendliness” serves as a partial cover-up for all the corruption (its been famous for for years)...Note that Jerry Brown, for all his good points and apparently sincere commitment to public service, started much of this problem, probably without understanding it very well (it was sold under the guise of energy conservation), in his first term decades ago.......BUT ALAS, while many Californians hoped he’d clean house when they elected him again in his more mature phase of life.....he has not done so.

Make sure to have a Green Eagle on your front door to let the government know that you’re “doing your part.”

"... Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, ..."

The referenced law is evidently a state law, thus protected by the 10th Amendment. And 14th Amendment issues aside, the states don't need a reason to justify taxes like the federal government does, the feds required to justify all appropriations under Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

The problem is that many Californians probably won't make the connection that they are paying for this “freebie” credit, arguably a redistribution of wealth.

On the other hand, the votes that global warming activist California lawmakers are winning because of this law are free.

I built an energy efficient home and have considerably low PGE bills compared to other homes and all I hear is to use less. I guess when we get down to zero the Nazis will be happy. Nothing ever said about all of the illegals using energy and water and they seem to use allot of it.

Taxes are not high enough for Progressives/Liberals until the government goes Socialist or Communist. And even then taxes will strangle the population far beyond anything we have ever seen.
