Dallas braces for second Ebola case

Dallas health officials are bracing for a possible second case of the deadly Ebola virus connected to the infected man now in isolation.

Dallas County Health and Human Services Director Zachary Thompson said there is one particular contact of the patient who he fears may have Ebola.

"Let me be real frank to the Dallas County residents: the fact that we have one confirmed case, there may be another case that is a close associate with this particular patient," Thompson said Wednesday morning in an interview with local ABC affiliate WFAA.

"So this is real. There should be a concern, but it's contained to the specific family members and close friends at this moment."

Thompson did not provide further detail about the potential case, only saying that he or she is under strict monitoring as a precaution.

A visitor to Dallas from Liberia was officially diagnosed with Ebola Tuesday afternoon, the first case ever confirmed outside of Africa.

People would have to be pretty stupid to believe he hadn’t come into contact with anyone after he became ill... Just how many will probably not be revealed especially if there were some children who attend school.....

Any time you hear some official declare over and over there is nothing to worry about - there is something to worry about. It’s like “trust me.” Yep - the minute you hear that, trust has been tossed out...

Unfortunately, the fact that it has happened shows that it could already have happened in other areas, be happening now, and happen again. Even if they are able to contain this particular case and any associated cases arising from this one, it shows that the nation, and the world is vulnerable.

You know it’s just not fair that the US should be protected from those terrible diseases from the third world. We need to redistribute disease so that everyone has an equal shot at catching it.

Obama could have stopped all flights coming from Ebola infected countries.

Heck Obama could have mandated a quarantine for anyone entering the country who had recently traveled to a Ebola stricken country.

But he didn’t want to, and played golf instead.

Obama loves playing King except in situations where he actually has the power to save American lives

It would be profiling to single out people from Africa for Ebola.

Ebola from Africa
Enterovirus from Central America

It’s a double-whammy.

Yeppers. Medical privacy beats out public safety these days!

They didn’t ask Patient Zero where he had come from. It’s against the law to inquire about immigration status.

If you’re “bracing” for a second case, the horse is long out of the barn. We’re scr*wed.

Thanks, 0bola!

Cheer up, things could be worse.

So I cheered up, and sure enough...things got worse.

Following CW-II, I really hope someone has tracked where the Obamadork is hiding.
