Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) voted for Senator Joe Manchin's (D-WV) failed gun control bill in April 2013 and is endorsed by gun control proponent Michael Bloomberg, but she is claiming pro-gun status in her bid for a fourth term in the Senate.
According to the Shreveport Times, Landrieu's campaign is trying to put distance between the Senator and her gun control vote by pointing to other votes she "cast favoring gun ownership."

Perky little Mary’s popularity and credibility seem to have flown the coup on the wings of a bunch of Gulf Stream IV private jets
I would never count her out, especially with that screwy open-primary and runoff system. It gives her two bites at the apple.
Of course she favors gun ownership. Only problem, though, is that it would be government doing all the ownership.
Mary Landrieu is a Democrat. Mary Landrieu is a liar. But, I repeat myself.
Isn’t that redundant to have “democrat” and “liar” in the same paragraph?
It looks like Sarah Palin and Rob Manass are stealth supporters of Landrieu. Sarah came down to Louisiana recently, trying to help out Manass. She has the ability to breathe just enough life into the Manass campaign to take out Kassidy, but not enough to close an enormous gap to help him win. This is delusional on her part; you would think she would know better. There is a picture of Manass shaking hands with Mary last night. He cupped her hands between his and gave her the sweetest smile. Her husband should be alarmed.
Politicians (all politicians) are addicted to power. They will lie, cheat, steal, kill, sell their children and sell out the country to maintain or increase their power.
Not sure where all the negativity is coming from. The article’s title is VERY misleading, as is typical today. In short, Landrieu didn’t win by a very impressive margin in 2008, and that was while riding the wave of 0sama fever. Also, the DemocRAT constituency was higher then, according to the article itself.
Rob Maness is a great candidate - solid conservative and backed by the Tea Party. He personally joined a small 2nd Amendment forum I belong to, and fields questions there himself. He’s drawing about 10%, which is not enough to win, obviously, but enough to force a runoff between Cassidy and Landrieu, due to our state’s open elections. In the runoff though, Maness’ votes will NOT be going over to Landrieu, believe me!
We’ve been trying to get rid of Landrieu’s liberal a$$ for years, but every time she has managed to survive. SO FAR. You can never count her out, but this year, every analyst (except only the most hardcore leftist media types and pollsters) are in agreement that this is by far the most difficult election she has ever faced, and one which she is likely to lose.
To see a great example of the anti-Landrieu sentiment, take a look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEjqRLjP7Io
There is no such thing as a pro-gun Democrat
There is no such thing as a pro-Life Democrat
There is no such thing as a Democrat who wants to reduce the size and scope of government.
There is no such thing as a Democrat who will vote to repeal Obamacare.
GOP-e alert if Maness is supported by the Tea Party. That means he has to contend with the dhimmiokkkrats and the gop-e. I hope he wins. But wouldn’t that be typical of a conservative “beating” a woman? :>}
Mary ain’t no gun-happy moll, and never will be!
Pretty good, for a Senator from a state that took such a pro-gun stance, that the State legislature strengthened the language of The Louisiana constitution, to become more pro-2nd Amendment, to stand there and announce that you are anti-gun.
Landrieu comes from a long family line of liars & power grabbers.
Hope the voters wake up this time.
I get Limbaugh thinks Landrieu is cute (heard that for years) but she is a freaking moron.....
