The word “holocaust” is defined as the destruction or slaughter of people on a mass scale. Some pro-life people think its fair to say that the killing of over 57 million people through abortion fits the definition.
However, when Jessa Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting, linked the Jewish Holocaust with abortion on an Instragram Post, (see below right) some responded and said her statement was offensive.
“I walked through the Holocaust Museum again today very sobering. Millions of innocents denied the most basic and fundamental of all rightstheir right to life. One human destroying the life of another deemed ‘less than human.’ Racism, stemming from the evolutionary idea that man came from something less than human; that some people groups are ‘more evolved’ and others ‘less evolved.’ A denying that our CreatorGodmade us human from the beginning, all of ONE BLOOD and ONE RACE, descendants of Adam.
The belief that some human beings are ‘not fit to live. So they’re murdered. Slaughtered. Kids with Down syndrome or other disabilities. The sickly. The elderly. The sanctity of human life varies not in sickness or health, poverty or wealth, elderly or pre-born, little or lots of melanin [making you darker or lighter skinned], or any other factor.
May we never sit idly by and allow such an atrocity to happen again,” she wrote. “Not this generation. We must be a voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves. Because EVERY LIFE IS PRECIOUS. #ProLife.”
While over 24,000 people liked her post, a few of her followers opposed it. One follower wrote, Do not use the Holocaust as an excuse to preach about your religion. Abortion has nothing to do with the slaughter of millions of people. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Another added, Please walk through the holocaust museum again because that is not at all what the holocaust was about. Have some respect for the children and grandchildren of survivors.
In her post, Jessa Duggar is not downplaying the significance of the Jewish Holocaust; rather, she is saying that abortion is similar to it in that the unborn are marginalized because they are considered less than human. Also, she isn’t using her religion alone to make her point as one commenter wrote; instead she is arguing that unborn babies and the disabled have human rights just like the rest of us.
As LifeNews previously reported, this isn’t the first time a Duggar has spoken out against the abortion holocaust. In 2013, during the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit, Jim Bob Duggar said, We have since 1973 (when Roe v. Wade was decided) had 55 million abortions, so what we have going on is a baby holocaust.”
It's the SAME Holocaust and it's governed by the same eugenic beliefs, all that has changed is the phraseology and the people committing the slaughter.
It’s actually WORSE than the Holocaust done by ENEMIES of JEWS....ABortion is done by MOTHERS KILLING THEIR OWN CHILDREN!!!!! And then CELEBRATED!!! And HOPING for MORE by VOTING for it!!! The most hideous evil ever!!
As a Jew I APPROVE her linkage. God bless her.

I agree with Jessa.
The Bible says the taking of the “life of innocents” and nothing is more innocent than a baby in a room.
BTW...my wife loves the Duggar’s TV show. They represent a family very involved in the raising of thier children with thier Christian world views.
I don’t really care what the world thinks of me for thinking this way. I am sure one day this type of thinking will land us in our own holocaust camps...but until then I do the work of Jesus , simply , and humbly

The Holocaust, Slavery, and Abortion -
all are/were justified by dehumanizing the victims.
And all should be abhorred equally.
I ask abortion apologists how it feels to know that in the future they will be viewed the same as slavery and holocaust apologists. They usually get angry, of course.
Anyone who tells the truth about abortion is called offensive. But the killing of millions of innocent unborn children is considered good.
I’d simply ask these dopey left wingers “please explain the difference”.
You know I realize that 6 million Jews were killed but there were 11 million killed altogether. What about respect for those people? Catholics, Gypsy’s the infirm. If you were not a Jew you don’t count?
And yet Israel pays for women’s abortions.
I don’t understand the response of the people who criticized Jessa. What could they have been thinking?
Say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
She’s entitled to compare abortion to any crime she wants to.
What???? Do people ever read what they write? This has got to be one of the more ignorant comments I've read in a long time!
OT: Jessa is already married (re: jessaseewald hashtag)? I thought they were just engaged.
“Abortion has nothing to do with the slaughter of millions of people.”
The disconnect would be humorous if it weren’t so tragic.
Jessa is an articulate young lady and has described the situation perfectly.
Prior to 1865 southern states only counted slaves as persons for purposes of the census, Hitler changed the law to declare Jews and others to be "non-persons" and Roe v. Wade did the exact same thing to unborn children.
I ask abortion apologists how it feels to know that in the future they will be viewed the same as slavery and holocaust apologists. They usually get angry, of course.
I like to ask them what exactly they think is growing inside the mother if not a person, do they think it might be a giraffe or something?
