SEOUL, South Korea (AP) North Korea's authoritarian leader makes no public appearances for three weeks, skipping a high-profile event he usually attends. An official documentary shows him limping and overweight and mentions his "discomfort." What follows is a smorgasbord of media speculation about what's eating Kim Jong Un.
Maybe it's gout, unidentified sources tell South Korean reporters, or diabetes, or high blood pressure. A thinly sourced British report says the Swiss-educated dictator has been laid low by a massive cheese addiction. A headline in Seoul offers up the possibility of a common South Korean obsession: fried chicken and beer.
So what's going on?

Good God...he’s not even 30 yet. When I was 30 I was as healthy as a horse.Even now that I’m *much* older than that I’m in pretty good health. What do the elite *eat* there? What do they drink? What kind of health care do they have???
He has the “Kremlin Mold.”
i imagine North Korea’s healthcare is similar to obamacare, their food similar to michelle’s school lunch program, and their drinking water situation similar to california’s. So all in all three strikes and hes out! Just like us!
Maybe he coming off cocaine detox
China got tired of this Kim, and finally organized the generals and others friendly to them to off the little punk.
The new ruling faction are rounding up the top Kim hold-overs now, and when they are done, they will announce he died
It’s most likely an addiction to rich foods and nobody around to put his fork down for him.
That may be one of the reasons for the purges, because a few tried to put his fork down.
I forget. Is there another psycho megalomaniac lined up to replace him?
or maybe what he is eating?
That’s just so wrong.
Their nation spends less than $1 a year per person on healthcare - and obviously no private providers. The vast majority have zero access.
The elite probably go to China or import doctors from China when it is necessary. The elite also get to eat pretty much anything while the masses starve. There are stories of airliners being used to carry Big Macs for the elite.
Lead poisoning?
Well he killed off Uncle Jang, his cohorts and his family not long ago because he gathered a following.
Any replacement for Kim3 will need to be a military junta, they will need to round up “suspected counter-revolutionaries” to show the masses they are keeping placated.
I’d order a prescription for the NK Un for Tree Bark. Take three times per day instead of meals.
The Nork generals gave up trying to teach restraint to the little riceball.
They’re now going to let him stuff his face until he croaks.
The DPRK elite want to be feared, & that’s impossible as long as the world is laughing at their Dear Leader.
“China got tired of this Kim, and finally organized the generals and others friendly to them to off the little punk.
The new ruling faction are rounding up the top Kim hold-overs now, and when they are done, they will announce he died.”
A definitely plausible theory. But my concern is that the new ruling faction won’t be much better than the old ruling faction.
I don’t think the new guys want to give up any of the great perks they’ve been getting. A lot of them look at the masses and must think “Geez, if these people ever figure out that we’ve been living high off the hog while they suffer and starve, they’ll freak out and off everyone of us in the worst possible way”.
China is tired of the Kim regime’s antics. DPRK’s nukes are a threat to China more than they are to Japan or the USA. Contrary to MSM beliefs, China does NOT care about refugees - they can put 500k soldiers on the border at will and keep even mice from crossing if needed. China also does not care about “humanitarian disaster” - that’s what DPRK has been the last 20 years or more.
They want controlled development. Have some generals take over. Purge the Kims and kill their lackeys. Keep firm control of politics and stay friendly to China. Keep events out of Japan or US control. Implement very gradual, basic reforms to increase food production and raise incomes (like China did 35 years ago). Let the new clique distribute access and profits. Slowly start to revise history along the lines of “Kims 1 & 2 were OK, but Kim 3 was a devil, so let’s all be thankful he is gone.”
