According to a newly revealed Department of Defense policy, undocumented immigrants with “high-demand skills” and “mostly rare foreign language expertise or specialized health care training” will now be allowed to serve in the military, USA today reported.
The program is called Military Accessions in the National Interest (MAVNI). Immigrants lacking proper documentation will be allowed in if they came to America with their parents before the age of 16 and are approved under President Obama’s 2012 DACA, or Deferred Action for Child Arrivals, policy.
Interesting announcement from our government, considering that the Army had just announced back in May that 30,000 soldiers would need to be removed from active duty rolls over the next year and a half.
In fact, back in July the Pentagon began doling out pink slips to active duty soldiers while they were overseas fighting in Afghanistan, a move retired Major Gen. Robert Scales told Fox News was “dangerous” and “bad for morale.”
On top of that, the U.S. military now rejects some 80% of all those who apply in the first place.
Robert Maginnis, a senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council, told OneNewsNow that, “given the downsizing of the military, we have every reason to turn down people who aren’t fully qualified.” The outlet went on to report that the U.S. Army’s 2014 active duty recruiting goal is the smallest it has been in ten years.

I don't think this is aimed at mexicans , columbians etc. This is aimed at Middle Easterners. Spanish isn't a rare skill, but Farsi , Arabic and Urdu are. Remember Major Hassan? He wasn't technically an illegal, but he was a Dr who spoke Arabic, and how'd that work out? What 0bama is doing is encouraging many Major Hasans to sign up.

If an illegal—serves his full term in the military—is honorable discharged, he and his family should earn citizenship. As they do in the French Foreign Legion. I see nothing wrong with this. They have proven themselves. But, if they are tossed out of the service—they and their family should be deported to their homeland.

I do agree that we are at war, and I respect that you love our formerly great country as much as I do.
We just have different strategies for achieving the resurrection of our nation. I find it absolutely appalling to contemplate the continued Democrat control of the Senate for another two years. I know what is at stake.
To me, the only thing more important than getting rid of Harry Reid is getting rid of a Republican leadership that gives into him and Obama while attacking Ted Cruz and the Tea Party.

And while you're at it, how many mostly rare foreign language countries are we likely to go to war against? If the language is that rare, is the country really going to be advanced enough to be a threat requiring war?
