What is the big deal? Just ask the Jewish men to sit together. Seat assignment isn’t THAT big of a deal.
oy mine velkh a bintl fun idiots!
Maybe they should make the women ride in the back of the plane?
Is this the first time any of these folks had flown? Seems to me that someone would have thought of this before getting on the plane. Perhaps the flights were booked as a group and whoever arranged the trip dropped the ball?
Headline: El-Al surprised to learn that Orthodox Jews don’t sit next to women.
I can’t believe that the guys who run El-Al flights don’t already know this. Even if they weren’t told.
And even if they screwed up and miss-assigned the seats, it should not have been a problem to change them and fix it, without making a big fuss.
On NYC bus routes through Ultra-Orthodox areas of Brooklyn there was de facto sex segregation. Women were forced to the back.

“Attention, please. If those of you unhappy with you current seat assignment would please disembark, we will accommodate your seating preferences on a future flight. Should you refuse to disembark, a contingent of IDF troops is making its way down the boarding ramp, and they will be glad to assist you with disembarkation.”
You don’t want to sit next to a woman? There’s the door...
This story is fishy... I fly El Al all the time and have never seen this. Must be a bizarre group...
