Domestic violence is much higher in non-marriage relationships than married ones. Then you have the problem of blacks disproportionately violent more than any other race. On top of that, blacks are disproportionately more violent to whites than vice versa.
So she made several mistakes.
1) Being in a shack up situation.
2) Living with a black guy.
3) Always returning to the guy after being beaten by him and continuing the relationship.
Three strikes, she’s out...for good.

The guy was a Marine, so maybe at one point, he was rational and nice - something must have made her fall for him. And the baby is adorable.
Women stay in abusive relationships because they keep hoping that someday, somehow, he’s going to come around and be that nice guy they fell in love with. He won’t, but most women live on hope when it comes to men. Plus with an adorable baby like that, she probably wanted to have Daddy stay and help bring up his little girl.
Interesting that this comes from a U.K. paper. Wife and I have gotten hooked on the current incarnation of ‘Dr. Who’. I can only think of one young couple on the show over the last 6 or 7 years that wasn’t bi-racial. Of course, on ‘Torchwood’, there was the obligatory homo ‘couple’.

Women who have babies are always at risk when there's dating, marriage, and divorce. Very often it's scary when there are men in the picture. When there are offspring, men go a little bit crazy and possessive. It's better to have no children. Many women have chosen that. Cameron Diaz, for example. Or, if a woman wants kids, it's better to get a successful career going, then be inseminated by a sperm bank, wait till the kids are 18, then, after all that is done and the kids are safe, start dating.
In this woman's view, the problem is men.
