Are the drivers forbidden from carrying firearms for their own protection?
is this a company that fires its employees if they are armed as they make deliveries?
Any large corporation will have one. With $1.8b in annual sales, Domino's is no mom and pop operation.
Who does not provide protection to people delivering pizza. But OTOH if the delivery person had a weapon to defend themselves they would have been fired.
It's injun territory.
You couldn’t pay me enough money to be a delivery guy in a city full of Holders people.
Hell no. And on top of the murders and carjackings, they don't even tip.
Let me guess: NOLA built a bunch of affordable housing three years after Katrina.
Dominos doesn’t do back alley deliveries.
Just about every corporation does. Until states pass laws (that pass constitutional muster) applying the Castle doctrine to corporate employees acting in their capacity as agents for their employers, corporations will continue firing armed employees. Large corporations make a very attractive target for ambulance chasers suing them on behalf of the families of the dead perps. An alternative would be to require corporations to pay large sums of money to the families of employees killed while on official business.
Yes they are
I don’t think places like Newark NJ have food delivery; any pizza or Chinese food places I’ve seen don’t mention delivery, and I’ve never seen delivery cars driving around.
In my town (and neighboring towns), just across a river from Newark, our places don’t deliver there. Towing companies don’t take calls there, either.
I guess allowing you to survive the delivery is the tip.
Well then, no harm, no foul...

My neighbor retired from Bell South (at&t). There were neighborhoods in NOLA that Bell South would not go in without a police escort and the police would stay the entire time the techs were working.
Yep. Pretty much.
And I now regret being flippant in my previous comment. This is a sad story. Some dude out there trying to earn a living is murdered for what, maybe $20 and a 10-year old car that was quickly abandoned? Yet it's just another day in the ghetto.
Life means nothing to these animals. I honestly don't know why anyone would open any kind of business in the 'hood. Let 'em starve.
Just the cost of doing business in the city, you lose a few along the way. /sarcasm
Had the driver shot the perp, Holder would be all over it. As it is, it will be forgotten by tomorrow.
I can believe that; I couldn’t imagine having to go into these hell-holes for work. You always have to leave someone g uarding the truck; you’d need at least four guys for the most basic repairs.
I take it the delivery guy is white. if so he had 3 strikes going in...white, delivery person, and not armed.
