GOP House Candidate Has No Qualms About War with Mexico to Stop Illegal Immigration

The Republican candidate for U.S. House in North Carolina’s 6th district recently suggested that the United States military could use force in Mexico to prevent the flow of foreigners crossing the border with drug cartels.

During a GOP runoff forum in June, hosted by a tea party group in Rockingham County, Mark Walker was asked how he would secure the United States’ southern border.

The Border Patrol could probably take out a lot of male targets taller than 5'10. When was the last time a 6 foot Hispanic woman or child crossed the border with Mexico.

Im sure if they do polling: Walker's statements are more popular than the grovelling by Bush and Obama towards Mexico.

No wonder this guy won the primary. The other Republican candidate Berger Jr on Boehner:"“We are going to put ourselves in the position to represent the people of the sixth district most effectively. And going to Washington and supporting leadership is one of the things that we can do to be effective members of Congress.”

I’m for it. Invade Mexico. Seal the border from the south. Kill the cartel lords. Jail the politicians. Suck their oil and farm their land. Make English mandatory.

Why is it so outrageous? We truly have forgotten who the guilty parties are, and and it isn’t a “broken”immigration system.

It is already a war we are losing, they are openly colonizing us and have already moved 10% of their population into the U.S., we need to take a combat posture.

“I’m for it. Invade Mexico.”

I made that very same comment at a California Republican Assembly Meeting more than thirty years ago and you should have heard the howls back then. Makes a lot more sense now than it did then in my mind. The “Castiliano” Mexican Government and their monied “white” pals from Spain, coupled with the Drug Cartels, have bled the average Mexican dry for a century or more.

Forty years ago when illegals were mostly true refugees from Mexico, I recommended that of all the guns that cops confiscate in cities, that we give each illegal a gun and 50 rounds and send him back into his home country that was so oppressive.

I figured either they would fix their government through revolution, or the Mexican government would seal the border themselves, to stop us from returning their refugees like that.

“....and send him back into his home country that was so oppressive.”

Still the same place with possible exceptions for the “tourist areas,” and even there, you have to anticipate violence. The last time I was in Mexico was probably close to 20 years ago when I had to visit a maquilladora plant in Tijuana. It was stunning that such a shittthole could exist a stones throw from San Diego. There were dead animals in the gutters, and trash everywhere. And in order to visit, I had to get a visa, but the government didn’t trust the border people with the money, so they made me go down a few doors to a bank to hand in the cash.

I watched a Bullfight in 1950s Monterrey Mexico as a young lad, between the bull fights and the grotesque looking starving dogs with their ribs showing and terrified of all humans, the broken glass lining the tops of the walls around houses that also had bars on the windows, and the begging street urchins and paying the layabout men to “watch” your car when you parked at the curb, and the bar length urinal that was also the foot rest as you leaned on the bar to drink a beer in full sight of everyone as you could pee without moving or setting down your drink, and my travel through tiny remote 1950s villages, the casual bribing of federal and local law enforcement, and near death experiences and narrow escapes through the 60s and 70s and 80s, from both bad guys and law enforcement, I know Mexico well enough to know how ugly it is, in every way, in regards to it’s people and what they create.

Mexico has always been a failure, a place of passivity and sudden mindless violence, twisted and misdirected passions and dishonesty and apathy, a disastrous pit of human failings, all while bordering on the greatest, freest, most independent minded nation ever created.

I wouldn’t want Mexico and Mexicans to be part of the US. Why not a 10 mile DMZ south of the Rio Grande, maintained by the US? Make it an environmental zone with no people living there.

“I know Mexico well enough to know how ugly it is, in every way, in regards to it’s people and what they create.”

In the 70’s I worked for a CA-based company that was building a satellite plant in Casa Grande, AZ. We had some employees who took their rental car down into Mexico one weekend and got trapped at an “inland border station” (some 40 or 50 miles inside the country, where passports were mandatory or you could bribe the “border officials” if you didn’t have one which they didn’t). So after being relieved of all of their cash, they headed back to the border where they found themselves out of gas as well as money. So they sold the tires off the rental car for some “may pops” and a tank of gas so they could get home. They only laugh we got out of it was that the guy who rented the car complained to the rental car about the condition of the tires!

In the old days, when one country invaded another, it led to war. Of course, that depends on which side the leader of country being invaded is on.
