So, did the Eagles big comeback win over the Colts on Monday night cost you your fantasy matchup this past weekend? Kill you in your picks pool? Cost you that last-ditch cover on the weekend? Well save your sob story. This poor gambler has you beat. According to multiple reports, a Delaware bettor missed out on a $100,000 payday when Philadelphia came back from a 14-point, second-half deficit to beat the Colts 30-27 on a field goal on the games final play.

What was the spread? 2.5?
Eagles were underdogs (2.5 to 3 points) and they won outright so I dont think the spread mattered.
“Never bet on anything that eats.” Grandpa.
If that’s the spread, I don’t think it was that close of a game then. Unless he was betting the money line.
Football is interesting game as it requires strategic timing. More often than not it all comes down to the last few minutes. A team either has to not screw up and burn the clock, or has to race the clock and perform at 110%
Having the refs help out is a plus too.
In this case, the Eagles received a couple of significant officiating gifts that definitely affected that last drive of the game.
The Delaware Sports Lottery has a 100K parley bet. You have to pick something like 15 games correctly to win. That is why he was close to winning 1OOK..
Ah, so it was a bad beat.
That’s why it’s called “gambling”.
That don't equate to losing $100,000, unless I'm missing something....
If this idiot needed the Colts to win in order to collect 100 large, he should have had about half that much on the Eagles. I guess this guy hasn’t heard of hedging.
He had to pick 15 games that weekend, and he had to place the bet and pick all the games before the first game was played. It wasn’t like he won the first 14 and had a chance to “hedge” his bet on the last game.

Still, the Colts could’ve just ran the ball, ran down the clock, then kicked a field goal and gone up by 10 with around 4 minutes to go. Instead Luck tries a very risky 3rd and 9 pass.
It’s like John Madden said years ago: “You have to remember; there are three teams on the field.”
No doubt that the Colts could have done things differently. But the refs aren’t supposed to affect the game that way.
how much did he put down? That is what he lost.
Of course, he could have hedged it. If your parlay comes down to the last game, you go in and make a single bet on the other team. That way you'll win money regardless of who wins.
