Y’all are missing the point...

the point is we are being force-fed illegal immigrants, who will not only take the jobs and bring illnesses and diseases, but for whom we will have to fork over more of our money to support them, like the millions who have crossed our southern border.

These 29 are not the only Cubans who have landed on our shores and given amnesty because of our lame policies. Like the Somali’s and millions of other sneaking across our southern and northern borders who have disappeared from our sights.

When will it to stop? It’s like our voices are being drowned out by the above mentioned peoples.

Cuba is a special case, you know that, and we have policy specifically aimed at them and I have no problem with this.

That said, I don’t favor illegals and wish to drastically curtail legal immigration until we’ve assimilated the people we have.

“the point is we are being force-fed illegal immigrants”

An illegal immigrant is someone who is in the U.S. illegally. Pursuant to U.S. law, Cuban nationals who reach our shores may claim asylum in order to escape the Communist prison-state that is Cuba. Ergo, neither those 29 Cubans, nor those who arrived earlier, are illegal immigrants.

Back when President Reagan was in the White House, the Cuban Adjustment Act’s provision that Cuban nationals who reach the U.S. are entitled to asylum was interpreted the way that it was written, so any Cuban who reached U.S. territory—including U.S. territorial waters, which, as you may recall, President Reagan extended to 12 nautical miles—was entitled to asylum. It was the traitorous President Clinton who, in order to please Fidel Castro, began the policy of taking back to Communist Cuba persons who reached U.S. territory but who were captured by the Coast Guard before they could step on dry land, despite the law’s clear language. Why Clinton decided to turn the U.S. government into an arm of the Castro Regime, or why President Bush 43 did not return to the interpretation given to the law during the Reagan and Bush 41 presidencies, is beyond me.

The end result for this will probably be what happened to Yugoslavaia. Full-fledged racial war. IMO that’s what TPTB want anyways.
