One of Mitt Romneys biggest Wall Street backers predicted Monday that the former presidential candidate would run again in 2016 under certain conditions.
SkyBridge Capitals Anthony Scaramucci said the former Massachusetts governor would run in 2016 if GOP favorites such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush decline to run.

Romney is trying the same tactic Gingrich used numerous times in 2008 and 2012:
‘Beg me and I will run. Please, beg me!’
I don’t think he’ll run. I think he’s been beaten more than once and he doesn’t have the stomach for it. If nobody shows up to win the nomination, he’ll accept a draft but that’s unlikely. Jeb Bush will never run as a republican.Just my $.02
He crushed obama in debate 1, then he went on prevent defense and obama ran up the score with the aid of candy crowley. GOP candidates must deband unbiased moderators. It’s long overdue for a Brit Hume, RUSH Limbaugh, Monica Crowley team for debates 1-3.
So one Wall Street buddy of Romney speculates that he’s going to run and everyone starts talking about it. Its nonsense. Who cares? Let him run. Hopefully there are other, better candidates and we will vote for them. But I’m tired of getting all worked up over a Romney or a Huckabee running.
BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG MISTAKE!
He was offered no resistance in debate 1. Candy Crowley blew him out of the water in the next debate. Romney’s response there was typical and reprised his debate performance in his Senate run against Teddy Kennedy. In that campaign, Kennedy was fully in his drunken, doddering nitwit mode and ripe for the picking. In the debate, Romney was touching on the economic plight of failing cities in MA like New Bedford, etc. Kennedy roared back at him “How dare you? That’s Kennedy country!” It was a huge opening to blast back with “Yes, it’s Kennedy Country. Has been for 30 years. Look where it got them.” Instead, Romney makes a non sequitur hard left turn and starts in on how we must do more to “break the glass ceiling” for women. That is how Romney has always fared when his opponent bullies him; he runs for the nearest leftist shibboleth to make nice to them, like beaten cur. I’ve been observing him closely for decades. I expect no change.
And that got you four more years of Obama. You must be really pleased.
Scaramucci isn't just a Wall Street backer, he was Romney's finance co-chair.
What a cut up. Romney is the Pat Paulsen of the 21st century.
They really need that ringer for Hillary or Fauxcahontas.
We know what his role was. Same as McCain’s.
Ditto.
I refused to eat that s### sandwich the first time and for sure, will not eat it this time either.
Yes. Please don’t.
And Cruz is probably the best choice. I’d vote for him in a second. I bet he’s get much of the Hispanic vote too and I bet the DemoRats are terrified of this...
I think Mitt is going to run too. If he does he is going to mess up Ted Cruz and Rand Paul’s plans. Rick Perry is probably the only one that can take votes from him. Mitt can raise mega money and he can also self fund.
Jeb Bush does not really want to be President. He is being pressured to run. I doubt if he will really do it. Huck just built an expensive home and he needs his TV salary too much to give it up to run for President. I don’t see Rick Santorum as a factor in 2016 or Christie, Jindal, Walker or Portman. They may announce but their campaigns will not last and they won’t attract the money that is necessary to run a successful campaign.
IMO its going to be Cruz, Paul and Perry as the top tier candidates unless Mitt jumps in. Lets hope he does not.
Though if the other candidates are Huckabee and Christie, he may wind up being the most Conservative candidate on the GOP ballot.
Huh?
