A misdialed number suggests a criminal conspiracy in the IRS scandal

By The Tribune-Review Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, 8:57 p.m.

Had Brian Fallon, Attorney General Eric Holder's communications director, just said, “Sorry, wrong number,” and hung up a week ago Friday, his apparent attempt to coordinate a document leak with staff for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, wouldn't be the IRS targeting scandal's latest twist.

But Mr. Fallon didn't realize he had actually called staff for the committee's Republican majority before saying he wanted to leak documents so the Department of Justice, unwilling to release them officially, could comment on them. That's according to a Monday letter from Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the committee's chairman, to Mr. Holder. The documents concern a former Justice attorney who worked with Lois Lerner, the scandal's central figure.

Mr. Issa wrote that Fallon's call indicates “longstanding collaboration” involving the Obama administration and Mr. Cummings' staff “to obfuscate and prejudice the committee's work through under the table coordination.” That follows Issa's April accusation that Cummings' staff worked secretly with the IRS to attack conservative group True the Vote as it sought tax-exempt status.

These actions suggest a criminal conspiracy at the highest levels of our federal government. And all of these actions should be prosecuted accordingly.

Well just you wait! If the Republicans take the Senate, then, well, uh - nevermind.

So why do Issa and the Republicans have so much difficulty standing in front of a camera and saying “criminal conspiracy”? Loudly and repeatedly.

Not weasel words like “obfuscation”. Hells Bells, half the adult population has no clue what the word “obfuscation” actually means.

Congress and political operatives will claim that they must take impeachment off the table and thus renege on their job to prosecute corruption in the White House and in government and defend the Constitution.

The only thing most politicians will stand up for is taking care of the puppet masters that finance their re-elections.. Getting reelected is their one and only priority.

Call them what they are—testicles. Nothing wrong with that.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why Cummings has been allowed to remain on the investigating committee. He is complicit in the crimes of the IRS. I just don’t get it.

You do know the United States is NOT a dictatorship, right. We follow the law... it takes longer but it’s our way.

Call Bonehead Boehner or Issa and find out. It does not make sense. Let me suggest one reason: the republicans are in control of the House and they have no testicles. We are doomed as a nation if this is not taken to the final outcome—the slave has become the master and you know what I mean.

Dead on about Cummings. He should have been expelled from the committee.

But I can understand now, clearly, why someone would want to be a Democrat and go into politics. Once they reach the upper levels, they can squander trillions of dollars, commit treason and other serious crimes, and know, WITHOUT HESITATION, that they will NEVER BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE!

Of course, CNN is all over this story.

(All over covering it up)
