Over one-third of Likely U.S. Voters remain unaware which political party controls the House of Representatives and which has a majority in the Senate - less than two months before an election that may put one party in charge of both.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 63% are aware that Republicans have majority control of the House. An identical number (63%) know that Democrats run the Senate.
Twenty percent (20%) mistakenly believe Democrats control the House, while 17% are not sure. Similarly, 18% think the GOP is in charge in the Senate, but 19% are not sure

IMHO, this is why some people should not be allowed to vote. They’re idiotic low info voters. Our “elections” are nothing more than “What’s In It For Me?” contests.
I have often thought there should be a test of some sorts to qualify to vote. This is what I came up with:
Let’s start with the easy part:
1.) What is the name of this country?
2.) Who is the current President of the United States? (Notice I gave them the answer to question 1).
Now the hard part:
3.) What is your name?
4.) Are you alive or dead?
5.) For extra points, write your name in cursive.
If you don’t know that, at the very least, you should not be allowed to vote.

Legal immigrants have to pass a written test to prove their knowledge of this before they can receive U.S. Citizenship, but not so for illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants can now receive their U.S. Citizenship by Executive fiat from King Obama.
Our Founding Fathers would be so proud. (Not)
I’m surprise 63% is much higher than I would have thought, over the years I’ve talked politics wherever I worked, most of the time I was hard pressed to talk to someone who knew the three branches of government,(I always asked that question) or could even name our own state Governor.
By my own observation, I would say about 80% are totally clueless.
Heck, mention voter ID, that ANYBODY could get and the left screams racism.
Any type of civics test and the left would go apoplectic.
You take 20-30 year olds and I’ll bet no more that a third know which parties control the US Senate and the House of Representatives.....
I bet they could not name one constitutional amendment either.
I am too. I did not think the lemmings out there, were even THAT smart.
What is Survivor Island?
:-)
Considering that you have a 50% chance of getting it right even if you have no clue, it’s not very high.
The percentage of people who actually know would be about 26%
63% is way more than I would have guessed!!!
I’d bet that many voters don’t even know what country they are in...or what planet they are on.
