Syrian Government: Go Ahead, Bomb Our Country!
Slate ^ | 9/12/14 | Josh Keating

Since the United States started getting serious about military action against ISIS, politicians and policymakers have worried that such an initiative would play into the hands of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. In his speech last night, President Obama was careful to stress that strikes against the group would not in any way imply that the United States was allied with the Syrian government. “In the fight against ISIL, we cannot rely on an Assad regime that terrorizes its own people—a regime that will never regain the legitimacy it has lost,” the president said. Instead, he said, Washington would step up its efforts to strengthen the Syrian opposition.

Obama, pot calling the kettle black.
Domestic spying, IRS political targeting, calling people who expect the Constitution to be upheld an dlaws enforced “terrorists”.

There will be US forces, FSA forces,Syrian Army forces, ISIS forces and Russian forces all fighting in the same area.

Who is fighting for who, and against what?

It just can’t be any more simple. /s

Syrian Government: Go Ahead, Bomb Our Country!

I see Syria and Iraq today as a modern equivalent of France after D-Day.

This administration has really screwed the pooch with everything they put their incompetent paws on - it’s hard to contemplate such stupidity. Unless it’s intentional.

How many Syrians do we have to kill to keep Syrians from killing other Syrians? Maybe we can find exactly the right faction to support:

Why is this all starting to sound familiar:

NVA forces, RVN forces, Hmong Tribesmen, US Forces, UN forces, Viet Cong forces, Chinese forces, Cambodian forces..........

Yup, we can handle it, BTDT

Hey Bath-house Barry, Assad’s regime isn’t the only regime that will never regain it’s legitimacy.

You ate right about this beginning to sound like Vietnam.
Obama has taken Bush’s WWII-like victory (where we would have had troops and military bases for years to stabilize and rebuild) and is turning it into a quagmire (ala LBJ s Vietnam).

Another Vietnam brought to you by the anti-war crowd Clinton, Kerry, Obama

How ironic.

Interesting...

The Daily Kos says that indeed Syria is quite adamant that the US get permission.

The Syrian government and its close allies in Moscow and Tehran warned Barack Obama that an offensive against Islamic State (Isis) within Syria would violate international law yesterday, hours after the US president announced that he was authorising an open-ended campaign of air strikes against militants on both sides of the border with Iraq.

Syrian opposition groups welcomed Obama’s announcement and called for heavy weapons to fight the “terror” of Isis and Bashar al-Assad. Saudi Arabia and nine other Arab states pledged to back the US plan “as appropriate”.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/09/11/1329102/-Syria-Russia-Iran-warn-not-to-bomb-Syria-Syrian-opposition-wants-mission-creep-against-Assad

Online tweets suggests that the Daily Kos is more correct than Slate.

Interesting to note though these to rags of socialism’s hate are seemingly at odds on their theology at the moment...lol

I believe the plan is to run out the clock until after the election. Obama doesn’t want to do anything about ISIL so you will likely see limited air strikes and very little ground action. I believe Obama will delay arming the free Serian Army and the Kurds as long as possible. I believe he will use the lame stream media to make it appear as though he is doing more against ISIL than he is actually doing. Then, if the Dems retain the Senate, he will, with the help of Harry Reid, begin a flood of damaging legislation that will create his legacy as the worst President in history.

The US Dept of State has declared Syria a state sponsor of terrorism:

Now Barack is willing to intervene on Syria's behalf and kill Syria's ISIS enemies.

It’s a good plan I think. Very few moving parts to get mucked up.
drop bombs.
kill all the ragheads.
go home and eat the wife’s cooking.
it’s as easy as 1,2,3.
