ISIS Plans To Invade United States Through Mexico, But Drug Cartels Could Fight Back

ISIS militants have reportedly been talking about invading the United States through the border with Mexico, a United States official warned this week.

Speaking before a Senate committee, the under secretary for intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security said militants have been caught on social media discussing ways to infiltrate the United States.

“There have been Twitter and social-media exchanges among ISIL adherents across the globe speaking about that as a possibility,” said Francis Taylor in response to a question from Senator John McCain, an Arizona Republican.

Taylor added that the ISIS invasion talk wasn’t too much of a threat, and that he was “satisfied that we have the intelligence and the capability at our border that would prevent that activity.”

This has been discussed here on FR for weeks. Of course they’ll try it. They probably already have.

The drug cartels would definitely resist. Gotta protect their customer base.

I will go out on a limb and say he is a lying, by virtue of the fact that his lips are moving.

“satisfied that we have the intelligence and the capability at our border that would prevent that activity.”.

There is NO WAY this administration has the “intelligence” to sell pencils. “Capability” is an entirely different issue but there has to be the WILL to use such capability and as we all know, our troops can’t fire at anyone unless they fire at us first. Idiots all of them!

Why not just put all the infiltrators on a train or bus and bring them in, it would be a lot simpler for everybody. (sarc)

LOL, yep, they wouldn't know their a$$es from a hole in the ground, and their ignorance is willful and deliberate.

The drug cartels have created a more secure border than our own federal government!

“We do not assess right now they have the capability to mount an effective large-scale attack on the United States,” Rasmussen said.

Even small scale raids would cause a lot of damage.

It’s in the Cartel’s best interest to hunt & ‘disappear’ any potential terrorists: They need an open border. Ironic in so many ways.

I’m still of the opinion that the ‘southern border threat’ is a deception...

Does that make them “allies” then? Maybe Obama will send them some guns. Oh wait.

One would think even an increasingly psychotic country like America would see through its insanity enough to recognize the threat ISIS represents, and would properly secure the border. But apparently our betters in DC are quite OK with an attack on our soil, and the sheeple can’t focus their attention on the subject long enough to demand that all entry points are secured.

A Beslan- or Mumbai-style attack is going to happen in this country.. it’s only a matter of time.. and once again our “leaders” will be scratching their pointed little heads wondering “how” that could happen.

Exactly. The cartels know where their bread is buttered. If they assisted Isis that would be the end of their cushy existence.

Yeah, that is the nature of terrorism. Don’t expect large scale attacks. ISIS won’t bring a division of tanks, or even their equivalent of a few hundred trucks with heavy weapons. That’s not classic terrorism. But suppose two or three towel wearing guys attack and behead a person at the local grocery store then fade away. How many of these kinds of small, isolated attacks would it take to make people reluctant to go out? How long to start impacting the economy, everyone’s stress levels. ...

Perhaps the only organizations of savage than ISIS, the Drug Cartels. I’d munch on the popcorn, but don’t think I could watch.

When it comes to deranged violence, the Mexican cartels are a pretty even match for them.

One of the things about true believers is that they have no guilt about what they’re doing, so they can’t conceive of being caught. As a result, their ops are usually pretty unsophisticated. That southern border idea seems a little complex for them.

This administration is very simplistic and 0bama doesn’t want to offend his Muslim brothers by beefing up security.
