Thanks for the Ping, and the links. Gonna check them out. This is really weird, but I was watching a HGTV House Hunters program earlier today, and they mentioned Buckhead, which is a suburb of Atlanta. I said to myself...wasn’t it Buckhead who uncovered the Dan Rather hoax? And now, here you are, jogging our memories on the anniversary of what was a proud FR experience. I am Buckhead!!

Ah, the good old days. When Colorado, Virginia and New Mexico were still red states, Ohio and Florida were playable...When the pervasive rot in America wasn't so apparent and we thought things coulds still look up.
In ten more years we'll probably be reminiscing about today, when Texas, North Carolina, Montana, Indiana, Arizona and Georgia were still red. When the assault weapon ban and UN small arms treaty were still at bay, when churches didn't have to stand before human rights tribunals for teaching biblical truths, when gay 'marriage' was still not a foregone conclusion and a direct tithe to planned parenthood wasn't the law of the land.
That is, unless we get our act together big time, somehow someway.

This was so much fun. I remember another Freeper sent me a link to the documents. Having worked as a secretary back in the 1970s, I could spot the forgery a mile away. Buckhead was and is THE MAN!

I remember going over my Father’s and all of my USAF correspondence that night trying to find a hint of a 702X0 that wrote an official USAF document like that. 39 years of USAF records and not one like the one Rather produced.

What's amazing is that the Libs are currently making a movie called Truth, with Redford as Rather. They still make the argument that no one has proven them "fake", when really the whole issue was they should have proven them "real" before airing.
