We are less than six hours away from President Obama's prime time address where he will tell the nation what he plans to do to manage shrink destroy the terror army ISIS, so I thought it would be a good time to re-post this video (it's been making the rounds since Iraq started to collapse earlier this year) from 2007 of former President George W. Bush predicting exactly what we're seeing now.
President Bush's Prophetic Iraq Warning (July 12, 2007)
Direct danger to the United States America? Check. Losing Iraq to Al Qaeda aka ISIS now? Check. Mass Killings on a horrific scale? Check. Terrorists establishing a safe haven in Iraq (and in this case, Syria too)? Check. Increasing the probability that American troops may have to return at a later date to "confront an enemy that is even more dangerous"? Check.
What we're seeing now in Iraq is what happens when politics trumps history and advice from commanders on the ground. President Obama making the choice of politics is why we're in the position we are today with ISIS. Lets hope he presents a real, coherent plan tonight about how to move forward.
I'll read the transcript.
I think even the con-man knows what he is doing is wrong.
Obama thinks he’s right. In that, I think he is misguided.
Both are doing exactly what they want, but even a life-time con-man knows what he is doing is wrong. Obama? Not so much.
He thinks the nation is evil. He thinks he’s doing Mohamed’s will.
Bush was the one who pulled the plug of Saddam. Chaos and civil war was inevitable after that. Bush was also the one who put a Koran in the White House and declared Islam to be one of the world’s great religions. None of our politicians had the guts to do what they should have done, and now our troops and our country are paying the price. Obama is just continuing the half-assed, useless measures.
Then lying is ok with him if it serves his purposes, as it was with Mohamed, because he is a practiced, conscious liar.
Cordially,
I’m not sure what lies you are referencing.
I just think he’s stuck in this save the world from the U.S. mode, and thinks he’s doing righteous work.
He’s a fool, no doubt, but I think he believes this.
I don’t think he’s above lying, because he does it all the time. I don’t think he sees himself as evil. I think he sees himself as somewhat of a messiah, a game changer, a person making it better for Mohammad’s will.
Very interesting.
I hate to have missed that speech but unfortunately my arse needed scratching and several of my hairs needed to be washed, my toenails were dirty, there was just no way.
“President Cliché is only good at one thing, giving speeches.”

He ain’t no Winston Churchill in that department!
