If the world has degenerated into a post-apocalyptic hunter gatherer society because of Osama and his fellow travelers, he probably won't be remembered at all.
Conversely, if his work is repaired, then maybe not then either. Maybe we'll be airbrushing him out of photos, which would probably be a bad idea, but would still be satisfying.

In this case I think Michael Moore has a better understanding of Americans than Allahpundit. Most Americans don't know anything about Andrew Jackson other than that he is on the twenty, don't know what war Lincoln presided over, or what century it was in, which President Roosevelt is on Mount Rushmore, or which one came first. I don't see that being better after another 100 years of government school education.

I don’t know about that. When people think of Roman Emperors, they tend to think more of Nero or Commodus than Marcus Aurelius or Vespasian. Destroyers tend to be remembered.
100 years from now, Michael Moore’s fat will still be decomposing.
