Should Mitch McConnell Be Next Senate Majority Leader? Cruz Won’t Say

In an interview with ABC News, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, predicted his party would reclaim the Democratic-controlled Senate in November, but he declined to endorse current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., as the party leader should there be a transfer of power in the upper chamber of Congress.

. . . . .

But when asked if he would endorse McConnell — currently embroiled in a tight race for his Kentucky Senate seat — as Senate majority leader, the Texas Republican said that is a decision that would be made “when the time is right.”

“Well, that will be a decision for the conference to make, but I am confident we will have a new majority leader,” he said.

I don't know about you, but I'm fairly tired of the personal attacks.

As am I, but sometimes it's fun, like when I spun one off kilter by asking how much he's getting paid by Reibus.

Then maybe the liberal GOP doesn't need to win until it gets right and goes conservative.

That will give people something to vote FOR.

Who wants to reward bad behavior? Besides liberals, I mean?

or I elected Obama singlehandedly, or something.

No no no...you've got that all wrong.

I said; "You AND YOUR ILK" let Obama and the RATs win. (because you didn't vote against them)

And that's a fack...Jack.

I take no personal joy in confrontation of any kind.

Yes, I'll do it if I must, as proven by my years in uniform, but no, I don't get anything out of it like fun.

I just want to completely destroy liberal republicans forever so that they can't ever pretend to be conservative again.

It's like picking up cat puke. Some stuff ya just gotta do, even if it makes you gag.

So, you do admit to telling people that must vote for the liberal republican or they allow Satan to roam the earth.

No sale.

And I'm really, really tired of it.

So, the fix is in.

Run a liberal republican, and they lose the general election.

That's the deal.

I will work my fingers to the bone to make that happen.

Mitch MConnell , by allowing a cloture vote.

AND-

Ole Wimpy Ears Snowe. She voted to let it come out of committee. (She's gone now, replaced by another fetid pseudoRAT)

That is true. However, Mitch must be ditched.

And the fact that Nate Silver has a tight race for Senate control only confirms that voting against is not enough.
Plus, the GOP has no national message or plan like the Contract with America.

Thanks for that additional info.

It shows it could have been stopped by Snowe or a failed cloture
vote.

You've already done that, how's that progressive agenda working out for you?

So, what's going to happen in four days? Martial law?

I've already started walking and knocking, telling my personal story about Cornyn, and what exactly cloture is.

Some of these folks listened to me when I worked hard to campaign against Dewhurst (the establishment favorite).

Maybe not November, but eventually.

I can't vote against anyone, but I damn sure can campaign against them.

We are getting neither. Remember, we are staying home because we won’t vote for the RINO.

How can I vote for Cornyn when he bepops down the isle to vote for cloture time and time again??

I'm still working it, hero.

And no, martial law (bonus for speeling it correctly {yes, that was on purpose}) won't be happening nationwide in 4 days.

The worst threat America has is republicans that are liberals.

I mean to see them politically destroyed.

It may take a while.

There will be a conservative in that race in Texas.... It won't be Dem or Republican, but there will be a conservative.

May I direct your attention that way?

You seem to be under the impression that I don't.

I have until I'm done, and the time-pressure sales technique doesn't work on me. Standard that it is...

You are the one that needs the vote right now. I damn sure don't.

Too many people have a short-sighted view of this process, thinking only of the next election, or the one after that. We’re in it for the long haul, since this situation we’re currently in took a long time to develop. I tell people this will take many, many election cycles. I’m in this for many years, and I’m blessed to know that my daughter feels the same way I do so she’ll continue the battle after I’m gone.
