In an interview with ABC News, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, predicted his party would reclaim the Democratic-controlled Senate in November, but he declined to endorse current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., as the party leader should there be a transfer of power in the upper chamber of Congress.
. . . . .
But when asked if he would endorse McConnell — currently embroiled in a tight race for his Kentucky Senate seat — as Senate majority leader, the Texas Republican said that is a decision that would be made “when the time is right.”
“Well, that will be a decision for the conference to make, but I am confident we will have a new majority leader,” he said.

You seem to be under the impression we don't. Fear mongering doesn't work here.
Congratulations...great work! Whooo Hooo!!!
We have plenty of good conservatives for the job, but we have to focus on winning the senate first.
What I want to know is who asked him such a stupid question
Uh oh. Either the personal insults have kicked in JR, or the liquor...
Maybe about five years.
Sure am glad I live in the sticks.
Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Especially if it's a high-pressure sales technique.

Five years won’t cut it. Fifty is more like it.
Are you trying to distract attention from the point that I was making?
Is that like the sales technique of having a potential customer go get a pen?
Because I'm seeing a lot of sleazy sales techniques come out recently.

I don't want liberal republicans in charge of the senate any more than I want liberal democrats.
What has to be focused on first is: Who is conservative?
And that ain't generally Dem or Republican.

They never think of anything new.

Well, let’s see. We have:
1. A new moslem enemy which makes alkida look like the Boy Scouts.
2. A deliberately open border with Mexico, Arabs spotted coming in.
3. Terrorists occupying office space in the White House (besides Obama)
4. Plenty of easily obtainable African Ebola virus to go around.
5. At least 11 stolen airliners.
6. The administration deliberately fanning the flames of a race war.
7. The US in possession of unfunded liabilities so large (hundreds of trillions) that there isn’t enough wealth in the world to pay for it. Most of it owed to Communist China.
8. Millions of Americans unemployed or on foodstamps and medical welfare.
9. Cities going bankrupt
10. Seeing a permissive administration in Obama...China, Russia and moslems are whacking out in their own spheres of influence, and threatening US interests both abroad and domestically.
11. Obamacare, threatening to shut down even more businesses and finish off the self-employed middle class.
12. Hoardes of foreign nationals stampeding across the Southern border to “overwhelm the system” as outlined by Alinsky.
13. Obama promised La Raza to grant amnesty to about 5 million undocumented democrats by executive order.
14. The NSA spying on US citizens.
15. The IRS being used as a weapon against Obama’s enemies.
16. The Supreme Court...totally politicized and polarized.
17. The census being run by the White House.
18. The will of the people being thwarted at every turn by federal courts.
19. The degradation of the military.
20. The total conversion of government run schools and higher education facilities to political indoctrination centers.
That’s just rattling off a quick 20 serious problems off the top of my pointy little head. There are many more threatening the continuity of the American experiment and our very existence.
Or is all of that no big deal.
But if you want to go on with your fear mongering, by all means keep peddling.
With Romney, amnesty would have been approved using a republican president for cover.
So would obamacare.
And maybe gun-control.
Liberals are bad.
All liberals, including republican liberals.

I never used the word “blood” in any of my posts.
As for the real liberal bastard, that would be the man sitting in the White House.
He is 100% for abortion on demand.
He is 100% for amnesty to illegals.
He is 100% for raising taxes on the hard working & successful.
He is 100% blaming America for world’s problems. He said so in the Cairo speech.
He is 100% for socialized healthcare also known as Obamacare.
He is 100% against Tea Party agenda.
He is 100% for increasing food stamps, now 47+ million.
He is 100% for increasing minimum wage beyond what small business can afford to stay in business.
He is 100% for cutting military.
Compared to Obama, Romney comes across as Attila the Hun,
at least on issues of military, border security & welfare.
Which is amazing when Romney is the most liberal GOP candidate nominated during my lifetime. And I am on Medicare!
What, do you read, USA today...the Weekly Reader?
The most important thing about being a "conservative" is having something left to conserve.
You're treating those real issues the same way I treat the CIA contrails conspiracy, and "remote viewing".
You said :But there were too many principled conservatives
And Lakeshark agreed with the 'Blood on their hands' statement.
It's difficult to keep track of the players, but I will do better in the future, and I offer my abject apology. I was wrong in that instance.

Hey hey hey!
I never said "blood on your hands" either.
