Alleged serial killer, now 74, is convicted of murdering 3 women in South L.A. in late 1980s A 74-year-old man described by prosecutors as a serial killer who preyed on victims down on their luck was convicted Tuesday of murdering three women in South Los Angeles in the late 1980s.
The defendant, Samuel Little, leaned back in his wheelchair and smiled as the verdicts were read in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom.
The case went to trial after cold-case homicide detectives made a breakthrough in 2012 to match Little to the 1987 and 1989 deaths through DNA evidence left at the crime scenes.

Police believe he may have murdered more than 40 people!
There are *so* many good reasons why women shouldn’t get hooked on drugs or become hookers or runaways. One of the main ones is that psychopathic serial killers see such women and girls as easy prey and/or as being unworthy to live.
The convicted serial killer.
Because he knows he'll live the rest of his days in comfort. Three hots and and cot and he'll be treated like a king by the other cons. They'll have lots to learn from him.
He smiled on his conviction.
And my liberal aunts and mom would make excuses for him, like maybe he had an unhappy childhood.... Liberals are NUTS
At least he only preyed on victims who were down on their luck. The pro-death crowd argues that, “quality of life,” is ample grounds to terminate somebody...
When I worked for the prison system here in Georgia, I had a guy who was classified as a Serial Killer working for me. I never turned my back on him.
He was upset at his classification. He said he killed the folks, but, it wasn’t a series, he was just crazy. And so he was.
AS for respect amongst the other inmates, don’t be so sure. The burglars and robbers don’t like folks who kill children and women. They might just take him out.
Sorry Joe, you never get to use “only” and “victim” in the same sentence. Every life, no matter what rung on society’s ladder it stands on, has value. (unless I missed your /s tag...?)
only the whitey Christian boyscouts can be....
“I’m extremely curious to see how much play this story gets considering the race of the monster. Even the story in the LA Times is minimal.”
The media will never bring up race with this serial killer, just as they never did with Wayne Williams.
But, when it came to serial killers like, John Wayne Gacy, Elmer Wayne Henley, Wayne Adam Ford, Henry Lee Lucas, Lee Roy Martin, Scott Lee Kimball, and Jeffery Dahmer, their race was in almost every story.
My reference to the, “pro-death crowd,” wasn’t an adequate tip off?
If he hasn’t murdered anyone since the 80’s, hasn’t he turned his life around? Isn’t it “raisis” to keep pursuing him? /SSSSS
Is he any relation to Malcolm Little aka Malcolm X?
I doubt it. If he was related to Malcolm X, or even thought he might be, he would have used that tangential connection as a bragging point meant to impress other low income blacks. He would have used this ‘ice breaker’ to pull in even more female victims with his murderous deceptions.
Actually, you are missing the biggest factor.
Killers have to overpower their victims.
The real sickos need to get them restrained in order to do whatever over a period of time.
In order to keep a weapon produced by the victim from making their day totally the reverse of their intentions they often:
A. Get someone to inebriated to move.
B. Find someone who will get naked ( hard to hide a weapon in a birthday suit)
C. Pick a child or someone disabled.
Prostitutes of either sex fulfill criteria B. Often they can be plied with booze or drugs to meet criteria A. as well. Icing on the cake; since they are living outside the law often nobody misses them.
Deserving it is a lesser factor in their heavy rate of victimization than their vulnerability.
Or D: visiting your hotel during the World’s Fair in Chicago
H.H. Holmes, did he murder 200 people?
