What an embarrassment this guy turned out to be.
It seems he and his wife got in trouble by living way beyond their means. And the wife...by all accounts, she’s a shrew.
I imagine they’ll be divorced after the trial is over.
Well, it can be ass-umed he is a Democrat, seeing as there is no (R) after his name...
Surprisingly and totally unexpectedly, Reuters doesn’t mention the Gov’s party affiliation (R) until the 7th paragraph of the article.
McAwful will set new standards for graft and corruption. He’ll just hide it better being a Democrat.
“McDonnell and his wife face a 14-count indictment charging they accepted $177,000 in loans and gifts from dietary supplement entrepreneur Jonnie Williams Sr. in exchange for promoting his company and its main product, the anti-inflammatory Anatabloc”
“Prosecutors contended that both McDonnells repeatedly had worked on Williams’ behalf, staging a launch of Anatabloc at the governor’s mansion and offering personal testimonies to high-ranking state employees about its effectiveness.”
There is no, there there. The Democratic prosecutors have stitched together two unrelated events and have attempted to sew together a conspiracy and a crime.
Neither the people of Virginia, or a jury of their peers will fall for a partisan Justice Department witch hunt, relying on idioms and clichés made out of whole cloth and will at the end of the day find the governor and his wife innocent of a conspiracy so eminence.
May G-d protect the innocent and move the guilty to repentance.
Farther down in the article they disclose he is a Republican. They aren’t so obliging when it is a Democrat. they leave you guessing.
He is a Republican and was a good governor with a good record until the scandal broke. Replaced by Demonrat hack, Terry McAullife.
