In an election that Republicans want to make all about President Barack Obama, the White House is determined to make him all but disappear in the battleground states that matter. The White House is putting the finishing touches on a post-Labor Day schedule that will send the president to states where he’s still popular, such as: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Illinois and California, Obama officials and Democratic operatives said this week.

REALITY CHECK Could this be a WH/Democrat Ponzi scheme in progress?

While they bash Wall Street publicly, leaders of the Democrats' mega-funder "The Democracy Alliance" have quietly recruited venture capitalists, bankers and hedge fund moguls -- along with union bosses and red-diaper trust fund babies -- to fund their takeover goals. ....$230,000 public school union dues go to the Democrats' "Democracy Alliance."

"The Democracy Alliance" does not itself raise and spend a great deal of money. Rather, being a partner in the Alliance requires one to contribute large amounts to other left-wing groups. The Alliance evaluates left-wing organizations on various criteria, and makes recommendations to its members as to where they should put their money. Currently, the Alliance lists 21 groups in its “Aligned Network”:

The most interesting of the D/A documents that have come to light is the one that contains D/A’s “investment recommendations” for 2014. Not only does it list the recommended organizations, but it rates each organization in several categories, sets out the group’s budget for 2014, and shows how much of that budget should be contributed by the 100 members of the "Democracy Alliance." One category in which DA rates the organizations is “Collaboration,” as DA believes that all left-wing groups should coordinate their activities for maximum political impact.

Opportunistic pols like Harry Reid have denounced Charles and David Koch, and others, who contribute to conservative causes as “shadowy,” “secretive” people who dare infest politics with “dark money.”

In that context, it is worth noting that most of the groups to which the Alliance and its elite liberal members contribute are 501(c)(4)s that do not disclose their donors.

(3) The "Clinton Global Initiative" (NOT KNOWN for giving out grants)---gave Harry Reid's granddaughter a grant for a Brooklyn, NY theatre she runs (what is a Brooklyn theatre's connection to "global initiatives?")

(4) A Nevada energy company also gave Reid's granddaughter's theatre group a grant.

The Republicans have so many opportunities to sink the Democrats this year. They should be starting now with attack ads on every issue from Obamacare to ISIS, but all I'm hearing is crickets. They did the same thing in 2012 and whatever ads they did put out were lackluster to say the least.

Now is not the time to be gentlemanly and take the high road. The Republicans need to realize that these aren't campaigns — we are at war for the very survival of the republic. Time to hammer the opposition. Hit it hard.

Unless of course, the Republicans are being blackmailed or coerced to throw the elections.

I wouldn’t say that Obama is popular here in Michigan. Its really more a matter of a few particularly stupid democrat candidates.

Mark Schauer has virtually no chance of taking the Governor’s mansion even against a particularly soft RINO like Rick Snyder. Gary Peters has gotten huge sums of money from the democrats for his race for the senate seat and still can’t match Terri land who has proven to be a surprisingly tough fighter. Neither democrat candidate is bright enough to recognize the danger of being connected to Obama.

Republicans turned out for the primaries in much greater numbers as well.

Of course she does. I’ve never seen any polling that has her way behind. From all the polling I’ve seen its been a pretty steady race with with both Land and Peters swapping positions back and forth within 2 or 3 points of each other.

Land has been pretty solid in stapling Peters to Obama. Pointing out that he blindly voted for Obamacare which is unpopular here. Pointing to Peter’s support for job killing amnesty. She’s even smacking him with his investments in the Detroit water company that’s cutting off water. She’s also opposing common core and supporting the Keystone pipeline and expanded oil and gas drilling in Michigan.

The RINO backstabbers are more interested in maintaining the status quo in DC and defeating conservatives. I'd actually be very afraid of the US Senate being taken over by back-stabbing RINOs who would use their new found power to defeat conservatism for good.

Our best bet might be an HOR that listens to its constituency because they're up for election every two yeans (they're pretty good now, but a few too many show their true colors when they can get away with it) and a US Senate minority with more real conservatives and a few of the back stabbing RINOs who work against us EVERY TIME losing.

I agree Obama will be welcome in the latter three states, but don’t be too sure about MI and WI. The only place Obama is loved in Michigan is Detroit and Flint. And, Wisconsin has made some real Conservative in-roads. While Miwaukee is a Liberal bastion deserving of an Ebola outbreak within it’s city limits, thanks to Scott Walker and others, the Milwaukee suburbs are glaringly red (Republican) as is the rural parts of the State.

Nine (9) candidates for Senate in the LA Jungle Primary and the GOP Establishment and the media have already coronated (my word) Bill Cassidy as her Run-off opponent on Dec. 6th. I will laugh my a** off if Tea Party folks unite, like they did for Dave Brat in the VA District 7 Congressional race against Eric Cantor, and Rob Maness is the 2nd Place winner. Cassidy is so GOPe and to call him a light-weight would be an understatement.
