Twice in the past 30 minutes, when executing a link to one of the FreeRepublic posts, Firefox sent me a warning page that the "site" I was going to was a malware threat.
In more detail, the notice explained that it gets that threat info from Google, and that FreeRepublic had been identified as a "malware" threat.
Who knows if some troll got p-o'd or if WH trolls are involved in having set up the threat notice at Google.
I don't know what the mods can do.
Based on your post I was able to get the warning via this address:
https://www.google.com/interstitial?url=http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3198639/posts
And that leads to this:
Apparently someone has posted links/images to threads that are to unsafe URL’s. The actual malware isn’t being hosted by FreeRepublic.com directly.

Doesn’t anybody use anti-virus software anymore ..?? I have Norton .. and I never have any kind of issue while I’m in FR, and I never get malware or any other kind of bug.
Also, when I download ANY type of software .. I always unclick the place where it asks you if you want Google-this or Google-that. I don’t want any of the Google stuff.
BTW, it isn’t a Windows issue.
That matters.

No, i’m running chrome on a mac. Google is blocking the page, individuals here are not infected. it is the Phishing/Malware protecting built into Chrome reporting the issue based on the link.
There's data.

See post #20.
I got the same warning when I clicked that thread and figured out it was that graphic by process of elimination.
The wording of the warning makes it look like it’s FR that’s the source.
We looked at SUVs today and the heat was awful, 100+. We’ll look again tomorrow. I’m still wearing the neck collar and taking muscle relaxant and pain pills.
I didn’t hear from our friend in Freepmail, so have sent regular email.
I found the offending img link on that thread and pulled the reply in question.
The links I provided have nothing to do with OS or browser type.
Whatever is happening . . .it is all the more reason to chip in to meet the challenge $$$ to keep FR up and running. It is a valuable site for not only America but the world. Think about it!
I deleted Firefox after this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10767104/Mozilla-appoints-new-CEO-after-gay-marriage-controversy.html
Thanks for the speedy response Jim!
When making a fault report, saying your OS and browser (version included) isn't hard, and really, really helps the person trying to fix the problem.

PIck your poison, Firefox, Google (chrome), Apple (safari), are all bay area pro-gay anti-christian companies.
Provide your OS and browser type when reporting a problem. It really does matter.

saw one and right upper corner ‘x’ clicked. Has not returned but yes was google. Also complained to google about an add posted on youtube tonight. Yep, something is up. Also received a notice my internet service had disconnected and also clicked ‘x’ upper right corner. That one had the appearance of other than google but yes I saw what you described also.
