Georgian’s video of gay intervention goes viral
Atlanta Journal-Constitution ^ | 8/29/14 | Mike Morris

When Daniel Ashley Pierce told his family last October that he was gay, his stepmother seemed to be supportive, and his father had no response.

All that changed Wednesday, when Pierce’s family staged a delayed intervention, berating the 20-year-old for “choosing” to be gay and demanding that he move out of the family’s home.

But Pierce, who, according to his public Facebook page, is studying business administration at Georgia Highlands College in Rome, might have the last word, as a video he recorded of the confrontation has gone viral.

I watched the video. The parents did lose it, probably because they feel betrayed by their child. Heartbreaking.

The parents probably could have handled it better than they did. And some of the things they were saying were just not accurate. Some people, indeed, *are* born with physical/emotional deformities. And all of us struggle with our sinful desires, be they heterosexual or homosexual.

Yes. It sure it.

That said, female homosexuality is a bit different from male homosexuality ...

I don’t think you can tell from listening to it whether it was staged or not. It just seems incredible to me that this kid’s parents were fine with his ‘coming out’ until months later when he and his boyfriend started this fundraiser.

Phil was right!!

"It seems like, to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me. I'm just thinking: There's more there! She's got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I'm saying? But hey, sin: It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."

He’ll look a bit different in a few years when too much buggery, AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, chlamydia and anal warts have taken their toll ...

I suspect a fake, too. The homosexual “community” has an established scenario of “idealized” abuse against homosexuals by their families. And while a few or some of its elements may happen, sometimes, the truth is that the scenario is used to embrace new members much like a religious cult.

That is, they must be cut off from their family and heterosexual friends, they must embrace victimhood, and everything good that comes to them, comes from “the community”, and everything bad comes from outside, and is only because they are homosexual.

Traffic ticket? Persecution because they are homosexual. That is the mindset they are encouraged to have.

Ashley was Scarlett O’Hara’s great love in Gone with the Wind. He was very handsome & not at all effeminate. Since the story was set in GA, Gone with the Wind is still big in these parts. Iow, the family honored their son with a richly historical, but somewhat regional, name.

I’d like to know what physchology teacher told this young man that personality was set in babies by the first six weeks? He’s not a cat. Perhaps he got his course outlines mixed up, in more ways than one.

There’s a lot of business I prefer to keep between myself and the person whom I have issues with. Publicity by court or recording the manner is a last resort. Personally, what’s sad is that my father, being an atheist could probably have recorded some or out less pleasant times talking, and put it up on youtube. Thankfully, he didn’t, as far as I can see. I still doubt he ever did. I also don’t think youtube was around in 1990-1995, and he’s not the friendliest to new tech like mobile phones, so I doubt it ever happened. I am just glad we just settled some things up back then, and didn’t make it big and public.

I think the big trick isn’t neccessarily just straight up falsehood, but taking excerpts out of the whole event, which often take a different tone than the full recording. Conspiracy theorists take excerpts out of the whole to try and prove a point. Hear the whole recording, read the whole page, and it sounds way different.

In this case, chances are the kid recorded a little argument, possibly provoked a little bit, that the family trusted was private and resolved , then uploaded an excerpt for everyone to see, and then... broadcasted a one-sided message.

Definitely, it seems to me that there’s a lot of peripheral information that I don’t know about, and like I said in my previous post, it’s an excerpt out of the whole, so I can’t really make any sound judgements. Something is going on, but the fact that he came out and there was a delay of months leaves a whole lot of questions.

I think that is very likely, and I suspect what provoked it was a request (demand?) to move the boyfriend into the house. The pair had reached over $90K in donations from their post as of this morning.

I don’t feel like moving a child with an opposite gender unwed other into my home to stay. Even if my son, who thinks girls are cute and blushes when talking about them - I wouldn’t feel comfortable unless he married her. I also am not the best person towards people who are strangers, either.
