Paul Ryan: Big government has U.S. at ‘tipping point’
Watchdog.org ^ | 8-26-14 | Ben Yount

It is no longer a question of how much government Americans want. The only question is how much government Americanscan afford.

And the former Republican vice presidential candidate, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said the answer is becoming clear.

“I talk about this in the book,” Ryan told Watchdog Radio Monday. “About very progressive policies. About the outcomes they produce, and how they bankrupt governments.”

Ryan writes in his new book, “The Way Forward: Renewing the American Idea”, that the federal government has expanded entitlement programs, Medicare, Social Security and now Obamacare, to the point where they cost far more than taxpayers have.

“If we keep going on this way, soon, we’ll reach a tipping point,” Ryan writes in his book, “where there are too many people receiving government benefits and not enough people to pay for those benefits.”

Ryan, who said he has not decided about a presidential bid in 2016, added that Americans need to act now to stop from going over that tipping point.

“We need to have a clarifying election in this country, where we give the people of this country a very clear choice, so we can win that election and have a mandate to fix this country’s problems before it’s too late.” Ryan told Watchdog Radio.

And the illegals “out of the shadows” and on a “pathway to citizenship” will oppose these progressive policies, right Paul?

Geez, I don’t know Paul - why don’t we scroo the military on their pensions again? Maybe you and Murray can have a special ‘meeting of the minds’ to work out the details.

Who cares about them anyway? Our soldiers only risk life and limb for our country, right?

I really loved his budget proposal from 2012...you know, the one that doesn't balance the budget until 2040.

Double-click.

I think this pretty much sums up why the GOPe hates its base. It is clear he thinks Republicans can run a better socialist economy than the Democrats.

So Ryan has been trying to make a deal with the devil to permanently open up the border. We are rapidly transforming into a socialist fascist police state. The GOPe (Ryan, Boner etc.) are compromised by the NSA/surveillance state and some are willing co-conspirators assisting the Dims efforts in destroying the nation.
All Ryan offers us is lip service and the people paying attention are not buying it.

Does he mean big government as in the few thousand dollars per year he tried to wrestle away from Veterans’ widows?

He is the worst of the worst.

Military wives sign a contract by choice, one which they and their sponsor pay into monthly, again, if they opt in, to get paid if their sponsor dies.

When a military member or a retiree dies, all salary or retirement stops as soon as the doctor signs the death certificate. If a military member dies before the spouse, that money is cut off from her.

In planning finances, military families consider this soberly. They accept it, and plan for it. The military has the program which they can plan on if they want to, where when these military members decide to count on this for extra or total income, they can.

It is an agreement.

Paul Ryan, in a little-publicized deal cutting off promised retirement pay, had cutting this money off as well.

Not for the future, not just for the future, that is, but pulling back on already agreed to, signed for, paid-into contracts, just take money away from veterans’ widows.

Are these women, who supported the country, sacrificed their husbands’ presence for the service, a taxing job, are they who he means by big government? The tens of thousands he’d have given to the growing 18trillion debt from these witches?

So Ryan wants to bring in more immigrants and provide amnesty to the lawbreakers already here. Immigrants, legal and illegal, use welfare to a greater extent than the native born. And immigrants support Big Government with more services.

Soon?

Here's an idea, Paul, let's import a few million more illegals and give them amnesty so they can get benefits before the benefits dry up.

Paul loses alot of credibility as a advocate of smaller government when he turns around and then suggests we import millions of illiterate dirt poor clients of the welfare state.
