Likud's Danon: Netanyahu in Political Trouble After Hamas Deal (could be ousted in October)

Benjamin Netanayu's days as Israeli prime minister may be numbered following his agreement with Hamas for an extended ceasefire, says Danny Danon, a Likud party member of the Knesset and Netanyahu's former deputy minister of defense.

Netanyahu inexplicably accepted the ceasefire even though a majority of the cabinet members would have wholeheartedly voted no, Danon explained Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"We are disappointed … You fight with the Hamas you don't negotiate with the Hamas. You don't negotiate with a terrorist organization," Danon said.

"We should fight against the Hamas. We have the ability and the strength to win the war against the Hamas."

Israel and Hamas have been involved in fierce skirmishes in Gaza since Hamas began firing rockets at the Jewish State two months ago. Hamas has constructed a maze of tunnels under Gaza, which Israel has been trying to destroy.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu decided not [go to war] this time, but it will happen maybe in six months, a year," Danon said.

"You cannot leave them there because they will continue to build a tunnel and produce more missiles…. We should've finished the job."

A factor in Netanyahu's decision was the ongoing pressure from President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry for a peace deal, Danon believes. But he said that does not excuse his move without the input of the cabinet.

"I told Prime Minister Netanyahu very clearly that he needs to come back to his base … we have to be strong against our enemies," said Danon, noting that Netanyahu could be ousted when the Knesset comes back in session at the end of October.

"Absolutely…. The people of Israel, they are disappointed from left to right."

So Bibi suddenly lost his nerve, against Hamas, King Barry, and Lurch?

I hope this is Likud party bluster.

Bibi has to walk a fine line.

He'll get no credit from the so-called world community but I think he's honestly trying to keep a lid on a situation that could get mighty ugly.

I have long been a fan of Bibi, but this business of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory has just got to stop. So, as a help to Bibi, here are the rules of war:

1) Kill the enemy
2) Wreck his stuff
3) Take his land

If you can’t follow the rules, then get out of the way.

And I’ll just add, ‘To hear the lamentations of their women!’

Hoping this article is BS. If not, Israel is in a bigger world-o-hurt than they usually are.

Regardless of potential diplomatic fallout, this should not be stopped until Hamas is destroyed.

I really thought that this time was going to be different. That Israel’s leadership would not let the US bully them into quitting and allowing Hamas to grow back again. So disappointing.

I have to wonder what sort of disgusting threats Obama made to force this. I do believe that if the US had an administration that fully supported Israel, Hamas would be neutered.

In Bibi’s defense, let us remember that Israel also is infected with liberals, and they are doing their best to ruin Israel.

For some reason, Jews to seem to have an unusual weakness for liberalism. This does a fair job of undoing a large percentage of the tremendous amount of good they’ve done for mankind.

I hope Israel survives and prospers, and comes up with a means for both them and us to properly give liberals all that they justly deserve.

Netanyahu could get polls back up if he starts going after Hamas seriously

Bibi has never had a nerve, or a clue. He is the one who gave away Hebron to the savages to satisfy Clinton, who rewarded him by sending Carville and Begala to help Barak defeat him. Bibi also was PM when it was revealed that the Muslim Wakf was carting off Jewish artifacts from under the Temple Mount in dumpsters to a garbage dump — and did NOTHING about it. He could have ended Arab sovreignty right there and then, and wimped out.

I've been following BN since he was kicking around Cambridge at MIT and Harvard as a youngster. It was clear even then he had the right stuff and it was obvious he would be a player of import. He is the last one I'd have expected to go wobbly. I have to suspect he is getting heavy Chicago-style pressure THREATS from ObamaJarrett. "Nice country yiz got there. Shame something should happen to it."

I really wish we could elect Bibi as our president.

After all, the only real objection would be questions about his citizenship, but after Obama, we know that’s no concern.

I’ve got a photoshopped birth certificate ready and waiting.

Perhaps the Israelis have a new “gadget” in the works and need a little more time before it’s ready for use.

I’d vote for a Jewish president on the condition his primary goal is to rid USA of Muslims and his secondary goal is to rid the USA of all illegals

I said this would happen at the beginning. Netanyahu has shown his stripes before in his earlier term. He is just as much a EuroAmerican Politician as any Republican or Tory.

BB just two weeks ago had an 82% approval rating., Now its under 40%
He is blamed for worrying about what Obama wants more than finishing off Ham@ss.

Today Mashall hiding in Qatar said the fighting isn’t over, they just signed a permanent cease fire.

Bibi has been played and the Likud party is furious.

Danon was fired last month by BB. For giving BB good advise.

I doubt there is anyone in the Likuđ who would have done better. They are all politicians looking out for tomorrow with no concept of the day after tomorrow.

"I have to suspect he is getting heavy Chicago-style pressure THREATS from ObamaJarrett. "Nice country yiz got there. Shame something should happen to it."

I agree Paine. As Caroline Glick implied a few weeks ago, the Obama gang hinted when they shut down American airline traffic to Tel Aviv, that they will get they have the power to make survival difficult for Israel. Our state-run media muffled the battle in congress wherein Obama mignons stalled Iron Dome restocking from its American manufacturers. Israel had contracts, approved by congress, that didn't require White House approval every time stocks ran low. The White House unilaterally abrogated that contract.

How long would Israel survive without Iron Dome, largely developed by Israeli engineers? How long would Israel survive without spare parts for F16s? Recall that Obama refused to supply deep penetration bunker busters. It isn't a new phenomenon. Recall that Israel, denied access to the latest U.S. fighter planes, used the French Mirage, and improved it substantially, They wanted the F15. When finally sold the F16, Israeli engineers vastly improved the flight control and weapons management systems, improvements that flowed directly to American manufacturers.

Obama has, since his teens, and probably before, been an acolyte, and, according to Malcolm X' attorney, Percy Sutton, supported by Prince Alwaleed bin-Talal. His support was managed by Sutton's old friend Khalid al-Mansour, known during the 60s as Don Warden, a Berkeley Boalt Hall Law graduate and ardent black nationalist, old friend of Vernon Jarrett, and for the succeeding fifty plus years, legal counsel to the House of Saud.

Al-Mansour converted to Wahhabi Islam during the late 50s; Malcolm X converted later in his life, which was ended shortly after his conversion, perhaps by Louis Farrakhan. Obama, more Saudi royalty than Louis Farrakhan, Khalid al-Mansour or Percy Sutton, certainly shares their Koran-based anti-Semitism. We will never hear, protected by the Los Angeles Times, how a group of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood supporters sound in private. But when Obama's patron's legal representative, al-Mansour/Warden, lectured in eloquent measured tones on his Oakland radio program about the obligation of young black men to "Kill the women and children first, because they produce the warriors of the infidel", the Koranic message largely misunderstood. To a community frightened by the rash of black-on-white killings including The Zebra Killings, the sermon/lectures by this erudite Muslim meant little. Warden/Al-Mansour was eloquent compared to the childish ranting of antiwar protestors of the left. Who then recognized 1300 year old legal/religious doctrine? How many today, outside of Mosques and Madrasas, recognize the Koran and Surah? Our experts were largely purged from government, like Stephen Coughlin from Congress and Army Intelligence, Robert Spencer from Defense, John Guandolo from the FBI.

Obama's anti-Semitism is part of his identity. Obama's fathers, and many of the stars of the black nationalist movement, aligned with communists to attain power denied them by racial bias. Surrogate Obama father Frank Marshall Davis, publishing partner of several communist newspapers with Vernon Jarrett, old friends with Percy Sutton and Don Warden, all tied to the black power structure augmented by Saudi money and influence, some working for a socialist utopia, some dedicated to Sharia for everyone at any cost.

It would be interesting to know how Obama regards the current call from within the House of Saud for recognition of Israel. Netanyahu is obviously being squeezed, and just as obviously can't speak about it. We should learn better to understand who Obama is. His allegiance appears to be with the Muslim Brotherhood. Our Constitution tried to protect us, but the reality is that he has aligned the U.S. with Qatar, Syria, Turkey, Libya, Iran and against Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, as explained by Caroline Glick, former senior aide to Netanyahu during the Oslo negotiations. Glick is worried that Netanyahu may not have the strength to withstand Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood, which include ISIS, ISIL, CAIR, Hamas, the U.S. CIA, The Republican Party's CPAC, with Grover Norquist and Suhail Kahn, Kahn's father a founder of The Islamic Society of North America. I hope she is wrong.
