The sad truth remains that 5% of FReepers support 100% of FR. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had 10% support? These things would wrap up in days, not months.
When I joined FR ten years ago, it was not uncommon to git 'er done in 7-10 days. It was less expensive 10 years ago, but, it really shouldn't take two months.
Not everybody can donate. I get that. But, I'm certain that we have some among the 95% that are FReeploading. Harsh words, but I know it's true.
Imagine no FR. No way to get the REAL news that affects us all. No pool of talent to ferret out the real truth. No ability to call BS when we see it.
The list goes on.
We need your help. We need new donors. We need new blood.
If you've never donated, give it a whirl. If you donate once in a while, try monthly donations. It's really painless.
Imagine a Freepathon that lasts days, not months.
It really is a generic question. Do monthly donations appear on the donor list? The monthly donation lists are pledges, not actual receipts. If you can’t answer it, then say so.
Your supposed initial question has already been more than satisfactorily answered.

The Freep Loaders, you describe below can be found in any group or organization that depends on support from those who use it. Which is why I stopped being on boards and committees that raise funds and set budgets. They always have some excuse for not contributing or doing their fair share re time or money.

“The signal. For me, it came maybe six months after I signed on and I became aware that certain expenses needed to be met. It is simply the way I live my life - I prefer to pay for what I consume. I believe what I was taught about no free lunch. Now, there are “in kind” payments. If my neighbor brings me a pie, I could repay with a loaf of fresh baked bread.

Of course Mr. Humble doesn't really require much defending, as he's pretty quick on the trigger himself.
But to find themselves helping to fund his efforts does highly annoy his mingy, mulish, ill-bred critics, all of whom seem to have a bit of Denali (south end of the critter heading north, etc.) in them already.
This thread is about the 5% who support FR thru our contributions. You and I are part of the 5%. Half of the donors choose not to list their names, so it makes it difficult to identify who is or is not pulling their weight.
It is sad to see you getting dog piled. I wish some folks would understand that trying to put themselves above the rest of us, smacks of elitism and turns a lot of folks OFF.

I am not making a new entry into each quarter Freepathon because I already have a running "account" making my donation each month. Consequently, I don't have a new entry through the donation link to put my name up.

He is a rather large and beautiful horse, and he belongs to a FReeper’s daughter.
And Gunner really is fast on his feet when it comes to... “debating” with trolls.
Most of his enemies are blog pimps and plagiarists who want to use FR as their
own private little hit-culling machine without spending a dime here. They are
the real thieves, not the FReepLoaders. People who read threads and post their
opinions in responses are getting a free ride if they never donate, but they are
certainly not using FR as a cash cow slave as the bloggers do.

That is the monthly pledge list. And I don't really care who her "Hubby" is. I was really seeking an answer to a generic question about who is listed on the donors' list. I did not see her name on the donors' list, which could be a matter of choice or it may be a policy of FR not to list the monthly donors. Since I contribute on a quarterly basis and have the option whether to list my name or not, I choose to have my name listed. I would think that those who are soliciting on behalf of FR would want their names on the donors' list.

Yes, it is. I so know about that and was so sorry it happened to you. I have someone in my life now and he is perfect for me. Finally, someone who is as conservative as I am. :o)
I’ve been a monthly donor for several years. I encourage all Freepers to donate $10 per month.
I have thought about that too. But will consider it no more after reading Jim Robinson's response.
We often forget that this is Jim's house. If you don't like it for any reason, feel free to leave.
