It wasn’t exactly the roaring, adoring, campaign-style crowd President Barack Obama is accustomed to.
On Tuesday, the president spoke to the American Legion’s national convention, facing a crowd of veterans deeply concerned about widespread corruption at the Veterans Administration and the resultant deaths of some veterans awaiting health care.
So when Obama began by lecturing the veterans about cynicism and explaining his most recent foreign policy choices — instead of addressing the VA crisis — the audience clearly wasn’t pleased.
Fox News cameras captured a sea of blank or frowning faces looking silently back at the president as he paused for failed applause line after failed applause line.
Obama’s assertion of the indispensability of American leadership worldwide failed to merit a single clap. And when he outlined the “progress” made in Afghanistan, the president resolutely paused for several agonizing seconds until the veterans provided their tepid support.
He didn’t fare much better once he finally reached the VA scandal, with halfhearted applause accompanying his promises to make things right at the corruption-plagued agency.
“We need to make the system work!” the president declared, as the camera caught one veteran turn skeptically to another, open his mouth as if to speak, then turn back and continue to listen disinterestedly.
I thought the same thing. He looks ill.
Why would the American Legion invite this traitor?
He truly hates these people.

Obama could care less if these veterans like him or not.
Why? Because in a few days Obama will sign an executive order granting legal status to 5,000.000+ illegal aliens, and he knows that these 5,000,000+ illegals will love him so much. Insanity. Insanity. God help us all.

He phoned in this speech from left field. There is only one honorable way out for this fellow: resignation. And yes, Biden would be better.
What would happen if the entire audience scratched their nose with their middle finger whenever Obama did that?
The picture would be priceless.

It's like something out of Aesop's fables. I'm guessing that Obama left the bubble against Jarrett's orders. "The peasants like me. They really like me! Here, I'll show you..."
Veterans like myself understand this punk ass magic negro is anti American and anti U.S. Military.

Not insanity, FRiend. He wants them here and the real people in power, Obama’s bosses, want them here because they will complete the work that the left has doggedly pursued for many decades now, i.e., the total collapse of our civilization.

Doesn’t he do it at most speeches? Seems I read he did it at the beginning if the Veteran speech.
No, I think he reserves that finger gesture for certain times. If he did it all of the time, it would be different. Of course, you would expect one of his handlers to point it out if it was just some sort of nervous habit. Pretty sure he has done it just a few times.
BTW, how are you, my FRiend? I remember you from our gatherings in 2000. “Get out of Cheney’s House!” I sat across from you at dinner at that Italian restaurant the night before Bush’s first inauguration.

I googled “Obama - finger” and got a lot of sites with pictures and comments. Of course it would not be covered by the MSM. Another sigh!
