For me, personally, Arabs are something I cant look at and cant stand, a 10th-grade girl from a high school in the central part of the country says in abominable Hebrew. I am tremendously racist. I come from a racist home. If I get the chance in the army to shoot one of them, I wont think twice. Im ready to kill someone with my hands, and its an Arab. In my education I learned that their education is to be terrorists, and there is no belief in them. I live in an area of Arabs, and every day I see these Ishmaelites, who pass by the [bus] station and whistle. I wish them death.
The students comments appear in a chapter devoted to ethnicity and racism among youth from a forthcoming book, Scenes from School Life (in Hebrew) by Idan Yaron and Yoram Harpaz. The book is based on anthropological observations made by Dr. Yaron, a sociologist, over the course of three years in a six-year, secular high school in the Israeli heartlandthe most average school we could find, says Harpaz, a professor of education.

Haaretz is so full of poo its makes the NYT look like George Washington.
Growing up with them shooting rockets, mortars, and whatever at you and your family, does tend to produce a little bit of resentment.
Arabs are a race?
*shrug* Ha’aretz.
Let me guess, this “Sociologist” is a leftist, who demonizes the opposition as racists and proposes increased leftist activism in education to rectify the minds of the youth.
If he has to resort to “fake but true” stories of anonymous racist bogeymen to achieve his desired political effect, then he is only doing the good work of promoting leftist paradise.
A money quote from the article:
If were not racist, that makes us leftists.
And the conclusion:
“A more radical change is needed.”...This means that every aspect of the schools patterns of teaching, evaluation methods, curricula, the physical structure and the cultural climate has to change in the direction of becoming far more dialogical”
Bottom Line: The racist stories are probably just made up.
When I was a kid, we hated the Nazi race.
In the first paragraph, change “Arab” to “Jew” and pretend the quotes are from a Palestinian.
This wouldn’t even be a story.

Right.
The Arabs certainly think so, otherwise they would not have come up with “Arab nationalism” or “pan-Arabism” (both derived from Nazi ideas, for the record).
I’m not too fond of Arabs myself. My neighbor, a Muslim, hates them too. Why is that, I wonder?
Haaretz is a very left wing newspaper. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them trying to be controversial to garner copies being sold.
But the daily open attacks, slurs, and death threats, etc...against Israelis and Jews are just fine?
Which is one of the reasons that the breakup of the Ottoman Empire was not such a great idea.
The world was better off when the Turks kept the Arabs in line.
I don’t mind Arabs so long as they’re not Muzz.
Arab muzzies are the worst. I know Christian Arabs who are the worst - unbelievably anti-Semitic.
The Turks were allies of the Arabs, just like today, before the British Empire got the Arabs to revolt.
And if the Ottoman Empire wasn’t broken up, then Israel would have still been part of “South Syria”.
I suppose there’s a lot of “what ifs” if the end of WWI was handled differently.
Would the Nazis even have come to power? Thus, allowing most Jews to continue living in Europe?
You’re right. Virtually all Arabs are virulent anti-Jewish, but again, especially the Muzz. I knew an Egyptian engineer who would get all hot and bothered if you even referred obliquely to Israel or Jews.
Arabs are an ethnic group - not a race. Just as with the Chinese and the Japanese. If Arabs want to be considered part of a race, then the most applicable grouping would be that of the Semitic peoples. But of course, if Arabs were to consider themselves to be part of the Semitic race, that would make them blood brothers to the Jews.
