The mourners filled an enormous church to remember Michael Brown — recalling him as a "gentle giant," aspiring rapper and recent high school graduate on his way to a technical college.
But the funeral that unfolded Monday was about much more than the black 18-year-old who lay in the closed casket after being shot to death by a white police officer. The emotional service sought to consecrate Brown's death as another in the long history of the civil rights movement and implored black Americans to change their protest chants into legislation and law.
"Show up at the voting booths. Let your voices be heard, and let everyone know that we have had enough of all of this," said Eric Davis, one of Brown's cousins....

If Michael Brown hadn’t been shot, wouldn’t he have been headed for jail and not HVAC school for assaulting a cop?
Yep.....I’m all for action by African-Americans in Ferguson, MO!!! Get rid of the current police force and let the local African-American community leaders run the police department!!! This will bring the “Three Ring Circus” police into being in Ferguson, MO!!! And....the police commisssioner should be Al Sharpton and the rest of the low life Obama USA, “Traitor ilk Democrats!!! Should be quite the show of chaos and lawlessness!!!

I don’t know if I heard right. As I switched on Nancy Grace, she was hyperventilating over this story and I quickly changed channels. Seemed she said, “. . .an unarmed teenager on the way to visit grandma.”
While the speakers were the audience to take action against whitey, twenty black males and innocent black children were being gunned down by other black males.
I guess this means boosting more Swisher Sweets and punching cops and trying to get their guns.
Wait, didn’t they already show up at voting booths and cast their multiple votes for hussein? How’s that change working for ya! Stir the pot. Stir the pot.
They already have all that a few miles from Ferguson over in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Funny how the media keeps trying to float the “gentle giant” meme. Comments over at Yahoo Noos are overwhelmingly pro-Wilson but this is going to be a lost cause soon enough for the Progressives.
That’s “while the speakers were URGING the audience to take action against whitey”....as I get older it gets harder to proofread.
NBC reporter that was covering the funeral, don’t know his name, asks one of the family members if they believed that Michael would ever receive justice for what was done to him. Nope. No bias there at all.
we will soon learn more about the background of the Brown Family if this goes to Trial.
will be interesting to learn the Kid’s grades in school, and if he was really enrolled in a Trade School to start in just two days before he robbed a local store for cigars, if he wanted those cigars and he was such a great kid and a ‘gentle giant’ why didn’t he pay for a couple instead of stealing an entire box???
