Burger King is not an American company
“In late 2010, 3G Capital of Brazil acquired a majority stake in BK in a deal valued at US$3.26 billion.”
The corporate headquarters of Burger King are in the USA.
Burger King Corporation
5505 Blue Lagoon Drive,
Miami, Florida 33126
The fact that the stock majority is held by a Brazilian entity do not make it “Brazilian.”
Thats the way corporation law works. The official head office location is reflected in the company’s inorporation documents, and that fact determines what tax laws and corporation laws apply to the corporation.
The surmise is that by purchasing Tim Hortons, a Canadian Corporation with its Head offices now in Canada, Burger King now has the option of changing its head office to a location in Canada..
The USA voted for Obama. Now thiose who voted fior the idiot have to watch the exodus of US companies to friendlier climes, to get away from Obama care and other legislative and regulatory extortion from the thug in chief.
You WILL remember that MacDonalds was given an Obama care waiver, Burger King was not. Thus the competative deck is stacked against Burger King. They have no choice but to move.
Welcome to Canada, Burger King!
