A 38-year-old man died early Saturday after he was shot multiple times during a Wiz Khalifa concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater late Friday night, police said.
The man, whom police did not identify, died after he was shot in the backstage area of the large venue and was then rushed to a hospital, police said.
Police received several calls at 11:05 p.m. that pistol shots had been fired. No arrests have been made, and police are searching for a suspect described as a black male between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 with short hair. He was wearing a red baseball cap and is believed to be in his 20s.

Pistol shots had been heard.? I know there’s a lot of us that are able to differentiate but, after having your ears slammed/”assaulted” by 120db for a couple of hours do ya think anyone there could make that determination? Typical BS. Backstage? Maybe a “pharmacy” deal gone bad?

The little town of Monongahela on the river close to me here in SW Pennsylvania is going to have a rap concert venue. I saw a quick ad on TV. I hope the local cops are ready. The town is going to be trashed.

This was included in a different article:
"Authorities don't yet know how a gun made it into the amphitheater, where patrons undergo security screening, Mountain View police spokeswoman Shino Tanaka told KTVU-TV (http://bit.ly/1BOuxnh )."
