(CNN) The Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Ferguson, Missouri, is preparing for a very big day. Come Monday, the seats will be full of mourners to remember Michael Brown.
The church's special events manager Denise Makey is busy preparing for the largest event the congregation has ever seen, making room for more than 5,000 people.

The church, led by Rev. Michael Jones, is expecting a huge crowd for the service, which will be public at the request of the Brown family. The details of the program are still being worked out, but the eulogy will be delivered by Rev. Al Sharpton, who has been active in the political action surrounding Brown's death.

$41 Million Arlington Grove Residential Redevelopment Project Is a Vision of Revitalization for the Neighborhood
by Betty Moore, SLFP.com
ST. LOUIS (SLFP.com), October 15, 2010 - Ground breaking ceremonies were held today for a residential redevelopment project in north St. Louis City that symbolizes positive changes for a neighborhood’s economy and its residents.
Arlington Grove, located at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Burd Avenue, has been the vision of residents, local politicians and businesses for many years in a continuing effort to revitalize the Wells/Goodfellow community.
The start of the residential project also represents the continuation of investment in the neighborhood by the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church, adjoining the construction site of the former Arlington School, designed by St. Louis architect William B. Ittner and built in 1899.
Colorful balloons and a large white tent on the church’s parking lot welcomed several hundred guests for the special event, including Lt. Governor Peter Kinder, St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay, St. Louis Alderman Jeffery L. Boyd, 22nd Ward; Darlene Green, St. Louis City Comptroller; Mattie Moore, Deputy Director, Office of U.S. Senator McCaskill, Alyson Singfield, Community Outreach Coordinator, Office of U.S. Congressman Clay, James M. Heard, Field Office Director, HUD St. Louis Field Office and Sal Martinez, Commissioner, St. Louis Housing Authority.
Kinder remarked that this day highlighted the teamwork by many people who reached “across the aisle” to make it happen. “At a time of 40% of unemployment in many of the construction trades in the St. Louis region, this is about real jobs. This project and its millions of dollars in expenditures will buy lots of materials at lumber yards and building centers.”
Rev. Michael Jones, Senior Paster, Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church, and Chairman, Robert Fulton Development Corporation, received a rousing, standing ovation from the crowd before he spoke.
“We are in the saving business. Years ago we thought about this kind of move in the community. We stayed and fought hard. When no one else would invest into this community, we stayed and invested our own dollars, our own time and our own people. We built our own senior buildings, with the help of HUD and other partners.”
“When I stand here,” he continued, “I stand representing at least 5,000 members in our community.” Everyone laughed when he added, “That’s 5,000 votes, Amen. Our people are proud of this community and we look forward to what is going to happen in the future.”

Black Panther pall bearers? Nation of Islam choir? Jeremiah Wright doing the graveside invocation? Father Pfleger to work in some of his special magic? Van Jones signing people up for the communist party?
Sharpton's a phony. He never went to divinity school, never had a church, never had a congregation. (For that matter, neither has Jesse Jackson.) He was "ordained" by a DC preacher when he was 10 years old and has perpetuated the lie ever since. This also reinforces how dumb Obozo is when he seeks the advice and council of such a charlatan. But then, one phony deserves another.
My Thought - it will be a bad night in Ferguson Monday night!
This funeral could turn into an anti-white lynch mob in seconds with Sharpton’s guiding hand
Voter registrations handed out at the door?
Be sure to set your DVR. You’ll want to record this one for posterity.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Michael’s name to one of the looted stores.
Since Sharpton is a reverend, I wonder if he has ever preached about the good news that one can achieve salvation through faith in Jesus Christ? Has Jesse Jackson ever preached a sermon on this theme?
The good news is they are booing Jesse Jackson. The bad news is nobody is booing Sharpton yet.
On the back of every Funeral Leaflet
I really like the handcuffs.
And only 12 of them will be missing a days work.
Well, Al certainly is an erudite, silver-tongued orator.
After his funeral oration, maybe we’ll put his speech up here, pick out the real howlers and vote on which was the daffiest. Most daffy?
Yeah, Al could talk a squirrel down from a telephone pole, or a flock of ducks down from roosting in the flatulent elm.
Seriously, what are those “Churches”? 35,000 of them world wide and these are like mushrooms that spring up in every city and town, and some of them like Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s “church” are downright hellholes for community organizers and others like “Joel Osteen” are simply schemes to make their pastors rich fat cats.
There is an old Richard Pryor funeral eulogy that I would love to post but would probably get me banned.
Yeah they are:
